About NSN
Sorry about the unexplained revert, I have hit Enter for changing the edit summary and you reverted back before I was able to Undo.
National Significant Number is already redirecting to E.164. The E.164 § Geographic areas section uses the terms National (Significant) with the term Number implied, as the following E.164 § Global Services table is using.
This document from ITU uses the NSN accronym:
The title of this document Annex to ITU Operational Bulletin No. 994 – 15.XII.2011 is
- DIALLING PROCEDURES (INTERNATIONAL PREFIX, NATIONAL (TRUNK) PREFIX AND NATIONAL (SIGNIFICANT) NUMBER) (IN ACCORDANCE WITH ITU-T RECOMMENDATION E.164
and Note 6 in that document explains the term.
Actually, the document E.164 (11/2010) The international public telecommunication numbering plan (Annex 3 Page 16) linked in E.164 states that at the National level (which is described in E.164 § Geographic areas), the number is made of the National Destination Code (NDC) + Subscriber Number (SN), referenced as the National (significant) number.
The accronym is also used in a lot of references. This is what made me revert your revert: I encountered the accronym and could not find it in the disambiguation page NSN.
Would it be better to add a header cell line in the E.164 § Geographic areas table specifying that the NDC + SN = NSN ?

Beechwood (disambiguation)
Hello,
I would like to ask for explanations of your recent changes in Beechwood (disambiguation):
1. Why did you revert my removal of Beachwood, New Jersey and Beachwood, Ohio there? These two places have nothing to do with this article which is titled Beechwood (with "ee"), not Beachwood (with "ea").
2. Why did you remove the wikipedia-links for The Marvelettes and The Zombies that I added?
3. Why did you change the link Beechwood Park School to Beechwood Park (mansion)? Even though the wikipedia-article is called after the former mansion it is now one of the buildings of the Beechwood Park School.
4. Why did you remove the wikipedia-link for Hertfordshire that I added?
Thanks
Stillbusy (talk) 06:21, 18 November 2020 (UTC)
- @Stillbusy:, I don't recall all the details of what I might have been thinking.
- I think I missed the different spelling of the two Beachwoods.
- The two songs are partial title matches.
- In general, MOS:DABPIPE discourages piping of links on disambiguation pages with exceptions described at MOS:DABPIPING. Beechwood Park School doesn't fit the criteria (and it also is a partial title match. There really should only be link to Beechwood Park (disambiguation) in see also.
- What is the relevance of a link to Hertfordshire on a page disambiguating the term "Beechwood"? Is Hertfordshire known as Beechwood?

Removal of Certified Coastal Practitioner
Good morning, I am trying to understand why you removed my addition to CCP: Certified Coastal Practitioner. I would be grateful if you could explain. For your information, I have re-instated it as I can see no reason to invalidate it. Thank you Biosedman (talk) 16:00, 26 November 2020 (UTC)
- @Biosedman: Disambiguation pages are not a directory. Each entry on a disambiguation page must have a blue link to an article that supports the claimed usage. older ≠ wiser 16:22, 26 November 2020 (UTC)
Thank you for your explanation. I will develop an article entitled 'Coastal Zone Foundation' that supports the usage. Biosedman (talk) 16:50, 26 November 2020 (UTC)

Please refrain from WP:HOUND the edits that I have made. I have put general citations to the links that I have provided. It is obvious that you have no education in such topics. Please stop being disruptive. Zongqi (talk) 01:10, 28 November 2020 (UTC)
- @Zongqi: Not sure what hounding you're on about. Your edits to pages Five elements and Gogyo are not appropriate per WP:disambiguation and WP:MOSDAB guidelines. References do not belong on disambiguation pages. An existing article must support the claimed usage. older ≠ wiser 01:31, 28 November 2020 (UTC)

PTM on disambiguation pages
Hi, I have some questions for you regarding disambiguation pages. I had added video game character King Hippo to the Hippo (disambiguation) page and Glow Wrestling's Major Tanya to the Major disambiguation pages, but people removed them saying they were PTM. But when I added He-man cartoon's Beast Man and G.I.Joe cartoon's Tunnel Rat to the Beast and Rat (disambiguation) pages they remained on the list. Also when I added Sloppy Joe to the Sloppy (disambiguation) page it was removed as someone said it was a PTM. Yet on the Boston (disambiguation) page Boston Pizza and Boston Cream Pie remained on the Boston disambiguation page and I don't see how that would be different than having Sloppy Joe on the Sloppy disambiguation page. I think because of this my entries should have remained on the pages, and the people who said that they are PTM and shoudn't be included are wrong. Please let know your thoughts on this. Davidgoodheart (talk) 01:51, 1 December 2020 (UTC)
- @Davidgoodheart: If the subject is not commonly known (or is unlikely to be searched for) by the simple term, then the subject is unambiguous and doesn't belong on the disambiguation page. Unfortunately, there is no absolute way to measure this and as a result there is some subjectivity involved. In other words, if "Sloppy Joe" is not commonly known as simply "Sloppy", there is no reason to include as an entry on the page. older ≠ wiser 02:11, 1 December 2020 (UTC)
Five elements
Hello, you reverted a edit on five elements https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:MobileDiff/991896114 The reason was that it was not in the article that was linked article, please find attached article, in the lead is the Gogyo. Thanks. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shinto#:~:text=Shinto%20(Japanese%3A%20%E7%A5%9E%E9%81%93)%2C,and%20as%20a%20nature%20religion. Zongqi (talk) 19:10, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
- Yes, but there is still no mention of Shinto being ambiguous with the term "five elements". older ≠ wiser 19:40, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
Hello Gogyo means Five Elements in Japanese, Go=five, Gyo =phase or Element, the cited article Shunto has it in its lead. Not understanding where you are going with this one, please explain. Thanks Zongqi (talk) 20:24, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
- Your saying that some foreign term has some meaning does not establish ambiguity in English language. Further, the lead says Shinto is
based on the Gogyo Gogen doctrine
which does not mean it is ambiguous with that term. older ≠ wiser 20:31, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
Sorry in Japanese Five Elements is Gogyo? Zongqi (talk) 20:52, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
五 five, 行 Elements here is the Kanji for it if that helps
Zongqi (talk) 21:51, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
- I don't doubt that Gogyo means five elements. Point is that the article on Shinto on mentions that terms (unlinked) as doctrinal basis. It doesn't establish ambiguity with Shinto. And aside from the passing mention you added, there is no further discussion of it in the article. older ≠ wiser 23:06, 2 December 2020 (UTC)

I take pride in applying good writing rules
Ha, that's hilarious. Most of your articles are an embarrassing mess of badly translated French, with much original research based on your on your own reading of maps and other primary sources, heavily overlinked and repetitious links, numerous redlinks and erroneous links. Bringing them into somewhat closer alignment with existing guidelines is what I try to do. Your intransigence in making even rudimentary efforts to follow style guidelines is epitome of intransigence. older ≠ wiser 03:57, 21 December 2020 (UTC)- Your words are rude, false and disrespectful.
