Anamyd, you are invited to the Teahouse!
[edit]Hi Anamyd! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. We hope to see you there!

You are free to create a page on Thai units - but please don't add incorrect information to pages.Tony May (talk) 14:11, 14 April 2019 (UTC)
[edit]See above. Your understanding of this is appreciated.
TONY MAY,
It was your idea, so you do it yourself. Or, if you want someone else to create it, mention it in the talk page of the 158 article. I didn't "add" the information; it was there for a very long time. You were messing / interfering with long-established information in that article through its destructive removal, and after I've done actual things in my day I shall be once again reinstating the information which, unbelievably, you've removed yet again. Any third removal of it by yourself will be reported, and I'll mention you on the talk page of the 158 article. You "long term established users" think you have some right to nonsensically make destructive edits involving removal of content which other users have taken varying portions of their day to add. Never mind "nonsense about Thailand", it's your removal of the content that's nonsense. I had to revert an edit revertal by someone in America on another article containing information relating to Wales - I had spent hours of my day on it so I wasn't having any of it. Unlike you though, that user left it alone after reading my edit reason. I hope you'll do the same once I've reinstated the information to the 158 article later. Oh yeah, please don't give me any of that "your understanding of this is appreciated" rubbish. It would only be possible for my understanding of your nonsense to be appreciated if I did in fact understand it, which I don't. Yet more nonsense from Tony. "Thank you for not smoking" comes to mind. Leave me alone.
ANAMYD
- It was your idea to add text to the Class 158 article that was completely WP:OFFTOPIC. Now, I'm not an expert on the Thai machines - (perhaps you are? I bow to your superior knowledge) - so I'd be reluctant to create an article on them. Tony May (talk) 15:34, 14 April 2019 (UTC)
- You also might want to read WP:INTRODUCTION particularly the bit where it says "if you don't want people to change your work, don't add it" (or wise words to that effect)Tony May (talk) 15:50, 14 April 2019 (UTC)
Original research
[edit]Hi Anamyd. I noticed your edit on British Rail Class 170 had the summary previous sourced turned out to be wrong and not actually what I saw happen. I just wanted to caution you that Wikipedia frowns upon original research: we prefer verifiabile, reliable sources. If you believe something is wrong then you need to be able to back it up with more than just "I saw it". Of course we also don't want incorrect information! Anyway, thankyou for your edits, it's good to see people supporting articles relating to transport! -mattbuck (Talk) 20:39, 12 November 2019 (UTC)
- Yes, I've learned from this now. Anamyd (talk) 11:54, 13 November 2019 (UTC)
- Hello again Anamyd, we seem to have got into a dispute over British Rail Class 142. Please be aware that the standard of Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth. I understand that you believe the information contained in this article to be incorrect, and that you find RAIL to not be an authoritative source. But RAIL is generally a good source for rail industry information, and if you believe it is incorrect it is upon you to provide evidence for your claims. -mattbuck (Talk) 21:45, 1 January 2020 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for December 1
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited West Midlands Trains, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page CAF (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:16, 1 December 2019 (UTC)

Please do not accuse me of "vandalism". West Midlands Trains now has 350401, 350404, 350405 and 350410. It's not like the fleet details table of the Class 350 article says that ot anything (!) Anamyd (talk) 00:40, 21 December 2019 (UTC)
Surprised you didn't change the 81 to 79 and the 4 to 6 Anamyd (talk) 00:43, 21 December 2019 (UTC)

Removal of "British Rail" class prefix from post-privatisation articles
[edit]You have on a number of occasions now made edits that have changed "British Rail Class nnn" to "Class nnn" in articles that you consider to post-date BR, as in this diff, and you have on a number of occasions been told in response that the change is inconsistent with established style. Please start a discussion either on the talk page of the relevant article, or ideally at the WikiProject UK Railways page, to seek consensus before continuing. You continue to do this, therefore, Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to British Rail Class 197, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. [edit]Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that one or more recent edit(s) you made did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.
The edit summary field looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account, you can give yourself a reminder by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary (or the default undo summary), and then click the "Save" button. Thanks! Danners430 (talk) 19:28, 30 October 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at British Rail Class 756. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. What you added appears to be Original Research - it certainly doesn't constitute a reliable source, as it cannot be verified by anyone reading the article except yourself. Danners430 (talk) 13:47, 15 November 2024 (UTC)
Please do not add or change content, as you did at British Rail Class 197, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Danners430 (talk) 12:23, 21 November 2024 (UTC)
Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! Danners430 (talk) 18:52, 25 November 2024 (UTC)
