Hello, Кирилл С1

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username TomCat4680 and it's nice to meet you :-)

I wanted to let you know that I’ve proposed an article that you started, Christmas Next Door, for deletion because it meets one of the relevant criterion. The particular issue can be located in the notice, that is now visible at the top of the article.

If you wish to prevent the deletion:

  1. Edit the page
  2. Remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. Click the Publish changes button.

But, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the raised issues. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|TomCat4680}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

  • "Moreover, the roles that he played in movies are very small roles, even many of them are uncredited." - this is not the case, the only his uncredited role is in Quiet Place 2, and ironically, it has coverage: [2] (a paragraph, which is good combined with other sources), so it is essentially cameo. These were not very small roles, see Edge of Darkness, O Brother. Had supporting role in at least several Academy award nominated films and had multiple recurring roles in TV series, by Wikipedia standards this is more than enough. Did you thoroughly analyse his filmography - I do not understand this "Additional voiceover role does not make anyone notable" remark (voice roles is not remaotely close to his best, or better known roles such as District or Pearson recurring role, or In the valley of Ellah significant role, or others. Kirill C1 (talk) 15:24, 25 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Кирилл С1, by "the roles that he played in movies are very small roles, even many of them are uncredited." I referred to the existing articles on these movies in Wikipedia. While there is some mention of him in several articles of these movies, some of the articles themselves need additional references. In films database webpages the camera personels are even credited, that do not make them notable. "Did you thoroughly analyse his filmography". In any case, my review was based on the references and info that were present in the draft, linking an article from Screenrant website in this talk page is not gonna do anything. You should find more reliable and independent sources that mentions the subject significantly (not just trivial mention), and add them in the draft, then resubmit. Surely I or another reviewer might accept it if it then seems to meet the requirements. -- Tame (talk) 06:00, 27 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Apart from maybe second sentence in career section, I don't see any advertising - I already rewrote in neutral way. I don't think that writing that Catrall having congratulated her makes it unencyclopedic. It's not different to hundreds of other articles on actors where their roles are listed. Thank you for creating Lina Roessler.

User:Paul W, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:

This needs some improvement to references. At the moment, the article is heavily dependent upon citations focused upon interviews which may be regarded as primary sources (see Wikipedia:Interviews). Some of the other current citations make only fleeting mentions of the subject - notability requires substantial coverage in reliable independent sources (see WP:RS).

Re: Your removal of the tree from Deaths in 2023

[edit]

Hi. The article is not called Human deaths in 2023 - believe it or not, any organic living thing which can be measured by age, and has a Wikipedia article written already, can be listed in Deaths in 2023. Please take a look at consensus partly confirmed at Talk:Deaths in 2023/Archive 1#Animals to acquaint yourself of the archived discussion on this. (And it's not just animals, before you point that out.) The entry has been restored. Thanks. Ref (chew)(do) 21:44, 29 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I understand that animals can die, but plants can't die. Kirill C1 (talk) 22:16, 29 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I have read this small discussion and I don't see consensus for posting plants. Kirill C1 (talk) 22:22, 29 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That's as may be, but previous discussions have covered plant life. And of course plants can die - they don't live forever (nothing does). You are welcome to bring the subject up once more at Talk:Deaths in 2023, but I can assure you that further removals of this type will always be reverted (not just by myself but by other regular editors familiar with the consensus on living organisms dying), until such time as consensus shifts to exclude them. Thanks. Ref (chew)(do) 22:57, 29 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You have just opened a new section at Talk:Deaths in 2023 dealing with plants in the Deaths list when there is already a discussion in progress on that page. Post your opinions there, and please stop being so disruptive. Ref (chew)(do) 18:24, 1 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You told me to "bring the subject up once more at Talk:Deaths in 2023". It's obvious that I didn't see the other topic because I saw only names of topics and only had brief glance at them and didn't recognise that this was already open. Kirill C1 (talk) 19:14, 1 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I've fixed the situation by combining the two sections, okay? Ref (chew)(do) 20:43, 1 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction to contentious topics

[edit]

You have recently edited a page related to the Arab–Israeli conflict, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

Additionally, you must be logged-in, have 500 edits and an account age of 30 days, and are not allowed to make more than 1 revert within 24 hours on a page within this topic.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
