Silver seren (talk · contribs · count) I've been an editor since 2006 and edited as an IP for a few months before that. My editing periods are a little sporadic because of me losing interest in Wikipedia at various periods or life making it impossible for me to have spare time to edit. I am hoping, though, that I am here to stay this time and will be able to benefit the Wikipedia community. SilverserenC 23:06, 23 March 2010 (UTC)

I see you're enthusiastic about rescuing articles, which is a good thing, but try not to let it become WP:BATTLEFIELD mentality. Remember that most editors are here to improve the encyclopedia, even if their methods might be totally different from yours. I do have a specific concern as well, but I'll post that on your talkpage instead. Regards, Jafeluv (talk) 15:47, 30 March 2010 (UTC)
Initial questions
- What are your primary contributions to Wikipedia? Are there any about which you are particularly pleased? Why?
- I've worked on a number of different articles, having written 67 of them. I am also very active on Articles for Deletion and have been involved in improving 206 articles, which led to them being kept. My one GA, Life at the Bottom, is obviously my better contribution. I am also very happy with the two Wikiprojects that I founded, WikiProject Abandoned Drafts and WikiProject Cooperation, the latter of which led me to being heavily involved in getting Cracker Barrel to GA status.
- Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- My fair amount, yes, like any Wikipedian that edits any highly controversial articles or hangs out in the Wikipedia namespace. There are also a few users who I am adamantly opposed to (and it's pretty much mutual) in both editing opinion and personal opinion. The main way i've bealt with conflicts on articles is try to bring forth a complete argument following policy and to do my best to stay calm in my responses and not allow the discussion to get too heated. As for the editors I have issues with, I do my best to just not be involved with them. It's better for everyone if we just don't interact with each other.
Questions by John Broughton.
Here are two question to start. -- John Broughton (♫♫) 22:40, 10 March 2012 (UTC)
- Are there any particular areas or specific issues where you'd like feedback on what you've done, or suggestions for how you can improve? Or any kind of advice in particular?
- What are your goals here - what type of editing do you see as something that will keep you continuing to edit? Are you looking for some type of change or new challenge, or do you think you've found the type of editing you're likely to enjoy most?
- My main focus on editing is in both creating my own articles, which are generally slightly better than DYK requirements, and to also focus on rescuing articles at AfD. I'm not really the type to focus on making Good Articles or Featured Articles, though I do dabble occasionally. I like the type of articles I focus on and working with Wikiproject Cooperation has also allowed me to branch outside of my usual comfort zone in regards to the kind of articles I focus on. - It sounds like you've found something you like to do, which is great. Just for amusement, you might try User:SuggestBot. You're not required to respond to all the suggestions (no one is going to check/follow up), but there might be some things that look interesting to do, or at least are new to think about. -- John Broughton (♫♫) 14:39, 12 March 2012 (UTC)
