- Should be sorted now. Thanks. Primefac (talk) 12:49, 20 March 2024 (UTC)
Date formatting issue
[edit]This (via parameters like |year_start=1741
|year_end=1867
|date_start=July 15
|date_end=October 18
) is outputting dates in non-standard (not-MOS:DATE-permissible) format, as July 15 1741 and October 18 1867 – as seen at Russian colonization of North America.
By default, it should be doing 18 October 1867 (dmy being the more common format, site-wide). With some parameter switch like |date_format=mdy
or |mdy=yes
, it should output US-format dates as October 18, 1867. But October 18 1867 isn't a thing. — SMcCandlish ☏ ¢ 😼 21:44, 16 July 2024 (UTC)
- Done, and added a
|dmy=
param to match. Primefac (talk) 12:42, 17 July 2024 (UTC)

Description of suggested change: First, could someone fix the motto parameter so it appears above the anthem like in Template:Infobox country instead of in the government section? Second, could someone add a currency parameter? Also, the link to the anthem in the anthem parameter feels a bit unnecessary and could be removed. Thank you. Colohisto (talk) 06:34, 8 August 2024 (UTC)
- Not done: please make your requested changes to the template's sandbox first; see WP:TESTCASES. I am not declining this suggestion, but there is no code change proposed here. This is a basic request for template improvement, not yet an edit request. It would be helpful if someone could change the sandbox, show how it works on the testcases page, and then reactivate this edit request template. – Jonesey95 (talk) 15:00, 8 August 2024 (UTC)

To prevent accidental linking to DAB pages (e.g. at Province of Brabant). Demonym params are not usually linked. Cremastra 🎄 u — c 🎄 17:17, 21 December 2024 (UTC)
- Partly done This is a weird way to have things, so I've also removed a half-dozen other instances of this occurring; if people want to link things, they can just link them directly in the param (i.e. we shouldn't be guessing whether something is auto-linked or not).
