Merging
[edit]I would suggest that the seperate articles be kept, as the campus not only houses the school, but also a branch of the People of Praise. IMHO, zappa 02:38, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
- Okay, well, no one has replied to the proposed merger here, so I'm taking the template off. If anyone still wants it merged, leave something here, but please don't post the template unless you actually have the intention of performing the merger and have posted an argument for it here. Thanks, zappa 16:53, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
CCS
[edit]It might be worth mentioning the Center for Christian Studies, the Division of the People of Praise which is responsible for Trinity Schools. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Danbold (talk • contribs)
- I don't know much about that, but please, if you know something about it, go ahead and contribute by all means. Although I created the page, no Wikipedia page "belongs" to someone - maybe for the exception of user pages. But my point is, you don't have to run anything by me, or anyone else for that matter. But please, put something about it in there, because I do not know much about it. Thanks, zappa 05:29, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
Moving
[edit]It seems like the Moving Section is more news and rumor than encyclopedic content, I propose deleting the section altogether. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Danbold (talk • contribs)
- The moving section describes the school's move, which will be a drastic change for the school in the upcoming years. While some of the section is comprised of rumor, it is admitted there, and it is the best guess for what is going on at the moment. I believe the section should remain there, but if you want to delete some of the unverified stuff, that's cool with me. -zappa 05:27, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
- For once i agree with Jake here! The moving is VERY important to the school and is not all that much rumor now. 99jonathan 06:49, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
- I never knew we didnt really agree, but thanks, I guess. -zappa.jake (talk) 04:19, 26 April 2006 (UTC)

- There are currently the plans for the new school hanging on Mr. Wacker's door; also, Mr. Wac ker announced at morning prayer on Wensday the 4th of October, 2006 (I think) that the school has bought the property and will start construction within the month.-Pineapple 01:51, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
Vandalism
[edit]Today, three different IPs came on and vandalized the page, all adding to the "Notable Alumni" section. One was from an actual graduate, but who is not notable enough to be here. Another IP added a person who admittedly did not go to Trinity at all, and the third IP added Bobby Seale, claiming he went to Trinity. Anyone know what was up with that? -zappa.jake (talk) 03:41, 24 April 2006 (UTC)
- Two of the IPs are extremely similar and both belong to Stanford. I'm assuming they are in an open range, and will note that wherever it is to be noted. Another was from Claremont. -zappa.jake (talk) 03:43, 24 April 2006 (UTC)
- The attacks are continuing very fast, so I requested at WP:AN/I for protection. -zappa.jake (talk) 03:57, 24 April 2006 (UTC)
I've semiprotected, which should stop the vandalism in its tracks wihout preventing edits by established users. Thanks for making the report. The Three Revert Rule doesn't apply to reverting vandalism so your reverts were okay. The semiprotection should be removed in a few days to see if the vandals has gone away. If I forget, please request unprotection on WP:RFPP. --Tony Sidaway 04:13, 24 April 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks a ton! Later, zappa.jake (talk) 04:18, 24 April 2006 (UTC)
- See Wikipedia:Notability for a definition of what's notable and what isn't. As a general rule, someone at the school is only notable if they're generally known outside of the school as well, like in the sense of getting media coverage. Please remember that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. --Elkman - (talk) 12:55, 24 April 2006 (UTC)
- No . You arent notable. I suggest you stop vandalising this site... or learn the hard way. 99jonathan 06:50, 25 April 2006 (UTC)

Mistakes
[edit]-Dude, what's with the grammar of whoever edited the page? Passive tense everywhere, they ought to be ashamed. ^_^ "Originally there were very small class sizes in the upper grades, but eventually classes filled in." ...please no. Try something like: The school started out small, but has grown to more than 400 students. And "A new wing of classrooms at the far end of the hallway was built..." "There are many chairs in the audience..." Your Humane Letters teacher would be ashamed. Try reading it aloud, then re-writing it, since having a badly edited page reflects badly on the school.
You should say something about how we do have a gym, and are connected to the POP wing... maybe something about the specifics of our uniforms, which are ever-so-superior to the uniforms of Meadowview (skorts? rofl) and Greenlawn.
And swimming is a Fall Sport- it finishes in early November. Don't forget about Yearbook- they deserve some love. Good job putting Robotics on there, though.131.229.162.144 01:30, 12 May 2006 (UTC)professors'daughter
- You're free to edit it too. Wikipedia does not have the same strict rules as a Humane Letters essay does, but if you still feel like it needs to be changed, go ahead and change it - that's the point of an editable encyclopedia! The passive tense stuff and other grammatical whatever I'm a little busy to change, as I have limited time on this computer, but I will add in yearbook and move swimming around. Thanks for mentioning that! Welcome, zappa.jake (talk) 20:16, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
Headmaster
[edit]hmmm... the portions about Mr. Walker seem contradictory. it says he became headmaster when he founded trinity in 1987 but then goes on to say hes been headmaster since 1991. anyone (as in u, zappa) know the real date? if so could u fix the decrepancys? Thank YOU!! 99jonathan 06:59, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
- Originally when I created the article, I believed that Mr Wacker founded the school, because I knew of no other headmaster besides him. I know for a fact, 100% sure, that the school was founded in 1987, because it says so on River Ridge's logo. Danbold changed it, saying that Wacker has been headmaster since 1991. Therefore, I am assuming there was someone before him. I removed "Walker founded the school and has been so since" from the history section. Thanks, zappa.jake (talk) 04:18, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
Sources
[edit]Uh... What kind of sources are you trying to get me to produce here. Anyone at the meeting could tell you what I wrote down. Its not written down but its was Sam Claasan (sp) told us. Yes that is all correct info. 64.131.3.144 23:57, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
- It's not verifiable by a third party. People can't look it up on the internet. If POP put it on their website, that would be a different story. -zappa.jake (talk) 02:06, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
- Sigh.... Ask anyone in POP. It was announced at last meeting. If you really wanted to be that nit picky... 64.131.3.144 03:54, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
Luminus
[edit]Why is this band mentioned here? I like those guys as much as anyone, but since they're not notable enough (under wikipedia guidelines) as a band to merit their own article, why are they listed as notable alumni on this article? Other alumni are in bands (including myself), should we put them all here? I think not. Sorry guys, but I'm removing it. - Torgo 18:52, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
- I don't know - I just thought it would be cool to mention it, because all members of the band went to and met at Trinity, and are recent graduates. It's cool though, I'll leave it. If you're going to do that, you may just as well remove the whole notable alumni section all together though... I guess I'll do that. -zappa.jake (talk) 18:55, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
Chamber Choir
[edit]The chamber choir and singers are two different groups. Dont they deserve their own listings? 99jonathan 23:59, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
- You could say they do I guess. I would wait until fall to put that in, as Mr Jorlett's plans have not yet been finalized. -zappa.jake (talk) 00:51, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
- I know but... The chamber choir and singers are different now, right? maybe im wrong but i thought they were different this year. 99jonathan 05:56, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, they are going to be seperate in 2006-2007, but that's not for sure. Anyways, it's sort of like music class and the challenge group - not a huge difference. If you wish to put it back in, go ahead, but I'm going to leave it as is. Thanks, zappa.jake (talk) 12:12, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks, didnt know if they were in fact changed yet. Ill leave it out too then. 64.131.3.144 07:28, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
Extracurriculars
[edit]There is now a Latin Club that meets on wensdays. Just a heads up. -Pineapple 01:52, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
- I'll throw it on there - thanks for the reminder. You can do it too next time, it really is editable by anyone. -Zapptastic (talk) 10:56, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
- Currently, with it's partially protected status, I cannot. -Pineapple 11:51, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
- Gotcha. It was semi-protected a long time ago, I thought it got unprotected. I'll ask someone to unprotect it now. Thanks for the heads up. Later, Zapptastic (talk) 21:27, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

Four Square Rules
[edit]I'm thinking this is a little bit unneeded. Is there a consensus here to delete the section and the link to it? -Zapptastic (talk) 02:06, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
- ... i personally think they are quite needed... the link is the only way anyone from Trinity is ever going to stumble upon them and it directly relates to the article. but, hey i think we're the only ones who would bother posting here....99jonathan 06:47, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
River Edge != New name
[edit]1. I have never seen or heard the name River Edge ever besides here
2. I am in POP and it has never been mentioned at any of the updates at cms
3. The ppl who would decide the name dont have that kind of humor
therefore, i removed the rumorous false reference to the new name. 99jonathan 07:35, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
- Jonathan, open MATLAB and look at the registration. Registered to David Beskar, Trinity School River Edge. -Zapptastic (talk) 13:15, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
- Oh, I'd thought that was a typo. You could just ask him. -Pineapple 19:21, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
- I'd agree with whoever Pineapplechild is. i dont think he'd register it for the "new" name while we were still at river ridge. oh and i dont have trinity matlab.... 99jonathan 05:53, 20 October 2006 (UTC)

Thoroughness
[edit]Is there any reason that this page is so small? I suppose I'm new here, but looking back in the history, it appears that this used to cover a lot more ground. Mdistancerunner (talk) 05:46, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
