Title

There has been some discussion about the title of the series and therefore this article. CNBC calls it 'Top of the Morning' [1] while star and EP Reese Witherspoon has called it 'The Morning Show' on her Instagram [2] Can we reach consensus on the title?

Went ahead and was WP:BEBOLD and reverted the title. Multiple sources, including Witherspoon herself as you pointed out above, have referred to the series as The Morning Show. While it has yet to be confirmed by Apple, it seems pretty clear that this is at least the show's working title. The only source to call the series Top of the Morning was CNBC in that one article and no other source seemed to follow their lead. It may very well be that they called the show that because that is simply the title of the book the show is based on. Hopefully we'll get an official title soon. – BoogerD (talk) 17:03, 5 February 2019 (UTC)

The Morning Show (American TV series)The Morning Show (TV series)The Morning Show on Apple TV+ is the only episodic series with this title, so I don’t think the additional country disambiguation is necessary. Other shows with this name are actual morning programs (not series) that fall under WP:NCTV#Non-series television, or already have their own disambiguations added. Currently, there is no hatnote to the disambiguation page at the article, but I think adding one would be a very good idea. --IJBall (contribstalk) 20:35, 3 November 2019 (UTC)
@IJBall: I think something that might work is to move The Morning Show (TV program) to The Morning Show (Australian TV program) since it currently airs only in Australia. Every other program with this title already has its own country disambiguated. However, the Apple series is available worldwide so I do believe it should have a more general disambiguation and a hatnote added. Limmidy (talk) 23:32, 4 November 2019 (UTC)
You can't – The Morning Show (1992 TV program) also exists and is also Australian – even though it's a redirect, it still counts. The two Australian versions need to be disambiguated "by year"; the others can/should all be disambiguated "by country" (as per WP:NCTV). --IJBall (contribstalk)
This makes sense. Thanks for clearing this up! Limmidy (talk) 23:44, 4 November 2019 (UTC)
I started a discussion over at Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (television)#Wikipedia:Naming conventions (television)#Additional disambiguation. Regards, CapnZapp (talk) 11:13, 5 November 2019 (UTC)
It'd be at The Morning Show (TV series) not at The Morning Show (TV show), but your point is exactly the same, yeah. --IJBall (contribstalk) 14:00, 4 November 2019 (UTC)
Question: Do you mean this one, Necrothesp? CapnZapp (talk) 11:09, 8 November 2019 (UTC)
Yes, as now linked from WP:NCTVUS. -- Necrothesp (talk) 08:50, 11 November 2019 (UTC)
