I disagree with the proposal to delete this article. NELSAP is a increasingly important organization in the United States Ski Industry and is recognized by historians, skiers, and industry officials alike. In recent months/years, more lost ski areas have been added to Wikipedia. There are a variety of interests in the history and documentation of these areas, ranging from cultural to economical.
A compromise might be to open article on defunct ski areas in the United States and to merge NELSAP into it for the northeastern coverage. NELSAP was the first movement dedicated solely to documenting lost ski areas online and has resulted in other lost ski area web sites throughout the United States and Canada. Agree. I'm removing the deletion notice, since this survived one last year. Have an argument here on the talk page, don't just slap down a tag. - DavidWBrooks (talk) 02:20, 14 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
