Ava Kris Tyson

[edit]

As the investigation debunked the allegations against her, isn't undue weight now being given to quotes about the allegations and the process of them being made in that section? I don't want to cause an edit war, so here now would just recommend the following edit:

On July 24, 2024, Donaldson removed Ava Kris Tyson, one of the original cast members, from the MrBeast brand following allegations against Tyson of a number of kinds of sexual misconduct. However, Tyson put out her own statement, saying she willingly stepped away and that her decision to leave was mutual. Donaldson hired an independent investigator to look further into the matter, and on November 1, the law firm Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan concluded the allegations were baseless, after conducting "39 interviews of current and former employees" and reviewing "over 4.5 million documents from mobile phones, emails, Telegrams, Discords, WhatsApps and Slack". The law firm reported that: "The allegations were soundly rejected, including by alleged victims." These alleged victims have commented on the allegations as "massive lies," with one saying, "People used my name to make very serious allegations and claims without ever speaking to me." The allegations were neither proven or debunked. Donaldson privately investigating his own employees isn't sufficient evidence to consider the allegations outright "debunked." I fully believe we shall refer to them as "allegations" because that's fairly neutral of us. We shouldn't take a stance on Tyson as to whether they groomed a 13-year-old boy or not. Innocent until proven guilty, but we can't take the stance that the allegations are debunked nor proven. It's like if we said (Redacted). The case never went to trial, sorta like Tyson here. We should always take the most neutral option. I personally don't think Tyson is a pedophile, but it would be a disservice to those looking for unbiased information about the allegations to claim they're "debunked" solely based on what a team of lawyers in a non-criminal investigation believed. There will most likely be an edit war over this position because most Wikipedia editors (in my experience) don't actually care about upholding neutrality, just whatever satisfies their worldview no matter how much it contradicts available information and/or Wikipedia's own rules. Former employee's (YouTube channel) name

[edit]

DogPack404 is the name of the channel used to publish the allegation videos. should we include links to the videos too? Metricwiki (talk) 01:32, 5 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Metricwiki There was some debate on this very talk page (now archived) on whether or not to include "Dogpack404" in the article. Since the debate outcome has been that he is of no importance to the article I doubt link to the videos can be added to the article without opposition. In the controversies section, add how MrBeast has addressed the allegations against him in an interview with Oompaville.
