Bad GA Review
[edit]Hi User:TwoScars, I was having a read of your other GAs because you've got me interested in this topic, and the above review is quite bad. The majority of the article is the background section; that is to say, not on the subject. I think bringing it to GA Review sounds like hell, but I will just note it here. - I'm open to anything to improve the article. The background section is exceptionally long because there is not much "out there" that explains the boring subject of window glass or Belgium's role in window glass. The article was reviewed while I was overseas, and I was surprised. TwoScars (talk) 00:14, 5 August 2024 (UTC)
- I figured, compared to some of the more substantive articles you've been able to draw from the sources. The issue here is the undue weight put on the background, I will leave it to you to trim down if you so desire. Rollinginhisgrave (talk) 00:23, 5 August 2024 (UTC)
- Would a separate "Window glass making in the 1880s" be a Wikipedia worthy article? TwoScars (talk) 01:29, 5 August 2024 (UTC)
- I can't imagine, it would likely get merged into your page 19th century glassmaking in the United States. Rollinginhisgrave (talk) 01:34, 5 August 2024 (UTC)
