Should the closing "PEGIDA AFD. NOORD" be italicized or not when using [sic]? If not, is there a way to remove the italicization? The original closing was not italicized. It's a similar problem with italicized Greek text using the template (unrelated, but seems to conflict with the MoS). Thraex64 (talk) 07:19, 21 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for looking into this. I didn't consider how it can be interpreted and I'm not a linguist, I tried using it because it's more accurate and most people generally consider accuracy desirable in an encyclopedia over stylistic considerations (also important). Thank you for mentioning MOS:PUNCT and correcting the curly quotes. Thraex64 (talk) 06:06, 23 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Edit: shouldn't "Nederland Wordt Beter" and "Zwarte Piet Niet" be italicized as well following this rule? I don't think this rule should be applied in this particular context. Hope somebody can clarify this. Thraex64 (talk) 11:39, 26 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The articles says that "KOZP and some members of the Dutch public" use "meetings, threats and protests...". There is no citation to the claim that KOZP uses threats. I tried to google it but found only articles about threats against KOZP. I added a Citation Needed tag for now. Teaparty (talk) 17:57, 15 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
