GA review – see WP:WIAGA for criteria
This article is in decent shape, but it needs more work before it becomes a Good Article.
- Is it well written?
- A. The prose is clear and concise, and the spelling and grammar are correct:
- In the Early career section,
"Benzema is a product of the Olympique Lyonnais Academy", what do you mean with "product"?Same section,"Benzema quickly ascending up the ranks", do you mean "ascend"?In the Breakout season,"...switched to the number 10 shirt and was given control of the attack", what do you mean with "attack"?Same section, 2008-09 season, and Real Madrid,"In the Champions League, Benzema scored an important brace against Rangers at Ibrox Park", "Karim got off to a good start for the 2008–09 season scoring a brace in Lyon's opening league match", "He was among the top scorers in the UEFA Champions League group stage, scoring five goals,[37] a brace against Steaua Bucureşti", "...and winning only two with Benzema scoring only two goals in that stretch, a brace against Le Mans in a 3–1 victory", and "On 24 August, Benzema netted a brace in Real Madrid's 4–0 victory", what do you mean with "brace"?In the International career section, the beginning of this sentence --->"He featured with the under-18 team", reads odd. Same section, "...and after a muted performance", what do you mean with "muted"?- Man, you stole my strike thing. :) Anyways, check. -- ThinkBlue (Hit BLUE) 18:42, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
- In the Early career section,
- B. It complies with the manual of style guidelines for lead sections, layout, words to watch, fiction, and list incorporation:
In the lead, link "Real Madrid" once. In the Breakout season, link "out of bounds" and "brace" to their correspondence articles. Linking "€" might help. In the Real Madrid section, it would be best to add Raúl's last name. In the International career section, "He has now adopted the number ten for France" ---> "He has now adopted the number 10 for France".- Check.

- A. It contains a list of all references (sources of information), presented in accordance with the layout style guideline:
- Reference 6, "lepoint.fr" ---> "Le Point". Reference 20 is missing Publisher info. There's a dead link.
- Done, ref 20 was a Youtube link Spiderone 17:20, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
- Are YouTube videos even reliable sources? What makes that particular video reliable? Is it infringement on copyright etc? --Jimbo[online] 21:07, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
- The Brace (sports) article, which detailed what a brace in sports is was removed. I think the majority of readers of his page certainly know what a brace in football is. Joao10Siamun (talk) 23:28, 27 August 2009 (UTC)

"The bad form resulted in Lyon losing their grip on 1st place position and eventually falling out of the title race, thus ending their streak of seven consecutive Ligue 1 titles. Benzema was a part of four of those title runs"?- Check.
