A tag has been placed on Josefina Ayerza, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Bobbyperou 22:42, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
Changes have been made to the text in order to fit within the parameters and rules of Wikipedia. The purpose of the article on Josefina Ayerza, like her personal work, is to disseminate the work of French psychoanalyst Jacques Lacan to the English speaking world. Although Lacan's work is well known in American and British academic circles, the viewpoint this article is aiming at is a "French perspective" untainted by American Cultural Studies.
- I nominated this article for speedy deletion because it did not seem to say anything about why its subject is a notable person (it first simply said that she is a psychoanalyst, which hardly fits WP:Notability). Recent edits have improved this somewhat, but the main thrust of the article is still about Jacques Lacan and Lacanian Ink. I think it would be much more appropriate to either find a place in the article Jacques Lacan, or even to make an article on Lacanian Ink, and I would fully support you and help you to get that article established. Beware, however, that it should not be the aim of ANY encyclopedia article to present a "French perspective," or indeed any particular perspective. Please see WP:NPOV for more information on this. For the moment, I'm going to change the tag to proposed deletion, which will at least give you 5 days to move the content elsewhere. You can also contest that deletion if you choose, but you should have reasons strongly grounded in WP:Notability to do so. Feeeshboy 00:43, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
I'll write an article on Lacanian Ink as Wikipedia suggests and a brief article on Josefina Ayerza. I'll certainly need help with the Lacanian Ink article. I removed the tag from Josefina Ayerza's article when I rewrote it following what the tag said on editing. The new contents are deemed to be concise and brief, also I've tried to avoid any "perspective" as was suggested.
