I've replaced the mumbo-jumbo "geodesy" paragraph with a simple analogy to the surface of the Earth: Edgelessness is not the same thing as infinite extent. --Quuxplusone (talk) 20:45, 6 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The phrase "infinite geodesy" gets no Google hits. That and the constant invocation of "modern science" and "modern mathematics" make me suspect a gentle parody. Anyway, it's gone now. --Quuxplusone (talk) 20:51, 6 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
