Island Cove (Cavite) → Island Cove POGO Hub – As per WP:NATURALDAB, the main subject of the article is referred to as the "Island Cove POGO Hub" (or POGO Hub in Island Cove) which is officially known as PAGCOR POGO Hub Covelandia a name rarely used by WP:RS.
While the islands have a history of hosting resorts (Island Cove), main subject of the article is the casino hub which catered to an overseas market Hariboneagle927 (talk) 14:29, 17 December 2024 (UTC) — Relisting. ~/Bunnypranav:<ping> 10:41, 25 December 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose. Better to expand the article to cover both aspects instead.

- If you can substantially expand the existing content on the article I would withdraw this move request. But as its stands there is not much information about "Island Cove" as Island Cove the resort, a cursory search on Google yields lack of viable citations for the feature as a resort - only the closure and some handful of blog sites. - Hmm. I do get your point. Maybe it might be better as a brief introduction in the article given the limited information. Ganmatthew (talk • contribs) 12:47, 18 December 2024 (UTC)

- Aside from the question of the scope of the article, I think "hub" should be lowercase in that suggestion. My impression is that the name of the place is "Island Cove". The "POGO Hub" is a descriptor attached to the end of the name, not part of the name itself. I do not find the term "Island Cove POGO Hub" used much in a web search. I find things like "POGO hub in Island Cove" and "POGO hub in Cavite's Island Cove. I found "Island Cove POGO hub in Cavite" in The Filipino Times. — BarrelProof (talk) 16:32, 17 December 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, it should beHariboneagle927 (talk) 09:30, 18 December 2024 (UTC)
- Question – Is there a source for that official or other name somewhere? I just see that it's a POGO hub. Dicklyon (talk) 02:38, 21 December 2024 (UTC)
- It's from the Tagalog news site RMN News but it was when it was still being developed back in 2019 - "at tatawagin itong PAGCOR POGO Hub Covelandia." (and it will be called at PAGCOR POGO Hub Covelandia) but the name was never widely known assuming its the official one.Hariboneagle927 (talk) 07:27, 24 December 2024 (UTC)
- Alternative Island Cove gaming hub Wikipedia:Article titles#Avoid ambiguous abbreviations tells us to avoid acronyms except when something is primarily known unambiguously by its acronym. POGO is an acronym and there are at least two other organisations with this acronym (see the disambiguation page: pogo). The article is primarily about the hub operated by the Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator on Island cove, which is not the only hub it operated. A title using the expanded name (eg Island Cove Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator hub) is not WP:CONCISE. Note, hub is not consistently capitalised in the sources cited in the article and should not be capitalised in the title proposed by the nom (using the abbreviation) or in a corresponding title using the expanded name. Shortening to the alternative proposed is still reasonably WP:RECOGNIZABLE, can be used WP:NATURALLY and is sufficiently WP:PRECISE with respect to disambiguation (see WP:OVERPRECISION) - but has the advantage of WP:CONCISION. Both the expanded term and the acronym can be used as redirects. Cinderella157 (talk) 10:18, 23 December 2024 (UTC)
- WP:SHORTFORM allows abbreviations to be used in titles where the abbreviated term is not the entire subject of the article. — BarrelProof (talk) 20:16, 23 December 2024 (UTC)
- Comment Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators is a specific class of gaming firms in the Philippines rather than a single entity. POGO is generally understood in the Philippines as offshore casino hubs so MOS:TIES could apply. Hariboneagle927 (talk) 07:17, 24 December 2024 (UTC)
- Not really. WP:TITLEVAR and MOS:COMMONALITY applies. MOS:TIES usually applies to spelling variations that don't affect a common understanding. What is understood in one place (ENGVAR) but lacks a common understanding across varieties is not a good article title. It is an ambiguous abbreviation. Cinderella157 (talk) 08:53, 24 December 2024 (UTC)
- Okay Island Cove gaming hub would be an acceptable title then.Hariboneagle927 (talk) 09:12, 24 December 2024 (UTC)
