[edit]Whoever is doing it, I'd say that student council data doesn't belong. Procedures and the various councils maybe, but poor grammar in explaining how you can be elected doesn't. 147AM 05:26, 24 September 2005 (UTC)
Controversies
[edit]This is in regard to the posting about International School Manila and the section marked "Controversies". What I am concerned about is the lack of balance displayed here - not so much in the content itself, but in the proportion of space devoted to this matter.
This is a school with a 92 year old history and yet the biggest section by far in the Wikipedia entry refers to events that unfolded in three days. The cause of the controversy,a "rogue" Board of Trustees, was expelled by the community and the school has completely moved on. What draws the eye, though, in the entire entry is the "Controversy" piece, and I think that is unbalanced and unfair. It's as though you were writing a history of Britain and the biggest contribution was about the "Gunpowder Plot". Where I come from there is a saying that "Today's front page news is tomorrow's fish and chip paper." Wikipedia clearly has a different view. You've taken the front page news from six years ago and are giving it undue and permanent prominence instead of letting it take its appropriate place within the history of the school.
People who read this entry will be given the mistaken impression that ISM is a school with a turbulent and controversial atmosphere and reputation, yet nothing could be further from the truth. DToze (talk) 02:30, 16 August 2012 (UTC)

Notable Alumni
[edit]I think it is pertinent to create a notable alumni section (as is common with other intermediate/highschools). I'll begin to work on this. Please let me know if you know of any relevant people. Col99100 (talk) 20:37, 13 December 2023 (UTC)
- Went ahead and added in notable alumni. When I have time, will find more. Col99100 (talk) 19:26, 18 December 2023 (UTC)
- I thought Charlie should be added to your notable alumni section as he was quite influential in co-founding and shaping a $4T global corporation. I found it odd that there was no cross-reference within Wiki to link his bio to the school he attended his whole life. I thank you for your time, consideration and efforts to update your info to reflect the caliber of the student body that was born of ISM's academic greatness. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Hallac Elise Fullen (talk) 12:09, 15 December 2024 (UTC)
