On St Thomas Aquinas and the heavenly vision of God
[edit]A 2018 free paper of Father Simon Francis Gaine OP, in a section answering to Hans Boersma, affirms that Boersma emphasises how Jonathan Edwards spoke of Christ as the grand medium, which extends even to mediating heavenly knowledge of God such that, for Edwards, there cannot be the immediate vision that Aquinas affirmed...While Boersma accepts that my suggestion about the causal dependence of the saints’ beatific vision on Christ’s “may be consonant with Aquinas’s overall position,” Boersma emphasises that Aquinas “does not spell this out anywhere,”....Boersma (2018,160) writes that “it seems likely that had this been his actual position, he would have explicitly mentioned it at somepoint in his relatively prolific writing both on the beatific vision in general and on Christ’s own beatific vision.” (pp. 118-119)
Possibly, the WP article may cite this theological debate on the chief issue concerning the heavenly and exclusive mediation of Jesus Christ God for the vision of God by all the saints (angels and souls).Micheledisaveriosp (talk) 22:15, 14 February 2020 (UTC)
Recent changes
[edit]With the last three edits, Ive deleted the linked to Amazon.com form the section related to the authors'works and I've spurced in the biography that he has been the President of the Canadian-American Theological Association (CATA).
CATA has a national relevance and probably it needs a specific WP article being created.Micheledisaveriosp (talk) 18:59, 15 February 2020 (UTC)
Political donation
[edit]For this to be reasonable to include, per WP:BLP there need to be reliable secondary sources discussing the article subject making the donation, not links to blogs and primary sources. There's no way to be certain anyone mentioned on that spreadsheet is actually the article subject, either.
