Barnet, VT reference

I have also read the reference to extending the canal to "Barnet, VT" in primary documentation, but I believe it is not referring to the municipality in Caledonia County for two reasons: 1, practicality (what would be the purpose of extending the canal that far over such varied terrain) and 2, the mileage given in the primary source is much less than the distance from Northampton the current Barnet. Perhaps a village in a more southerly VT town was also called Barnet? 170.63.193.174 (talk) 20:57, 23 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
