Reliable Sources Update

[edit]

Since Connor Ratliffs podcast Dead Eyes gained significant media attention for its Season 3 finale on March 10, 2022- a 90 minute interview with Tom Hanks addressing Connor being fired from Band of Brothers because Hanks had remarked he believed Connor had "dead eyes" - many articles have been written about him, including very reliable biographies published in Rolling Stone, Vulture and The Guardian. I believe these sources clear up any unreliable sourcing concerns and will result in an expanded biography of Connor.

That being said, I believe the removal of the Multiple Issue template is justified. Mcdave mcdougal (talk) 16:10, 30 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Restored previous version of this article

[edit]

I spent today creating Draft:Connor_Ratliff as I was amazed to find that Connor Ratliff redirected to The George Lucas Talk Show. Ratliff is famous for the Talk Show but arguably more so for Dead Eyes, as well as notable in his own right. I assumed a Connor Ratliff article had never been created until I managed to access the Revision History for the redirect and saw that in January 2023, the article named Connor Ratliff had been reverted to the October 2020 version named The George Lucas Talk Show [1], with an accusation of WP:COI and WP:PAID - though it does not look like any of the editors have been blocked for this. I have now restored the January 2023 version so there once more separate articles for Connor Ratliff and The George Lucas Talk Show.

I checked WP:AfD before creating my draft but there has been no mention of Ratliff. I believe the subject is notable and can promise I have no COI and have not been paid to edit. I anyone disagrees with this can I request it is brought to WP:AFD or another appropriate noticeboard to find consensus? Orange sticker (talk) 23:23, 28 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
