Juggalo?
[edit]This is from an interview with Violent J? "According to Violent J, a member of the Insane Clown Posse, he has identified himself as a Juggalo." I DON'T THINK IT HAS ANY FUCKING RELEVANCE TO CHUCK D; MAYBE IF CHUCK D HAD SAID IT THAT WOULD BE ONE THING, BUT HE DID NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LET IT GO YOU FUCKING RETARDED ICP FAN! I AM DELETING YOUR ERRONEOUS ASSERTION.

Confrontation Camp
[edit]This should have it's own article. It should also be mentioned in this article that it's a rock group.
Professor Griff
[edit]The Professor Griff article states that Chuck D's first name is Charles, but here it says his first name is Carlton. Which is it? Anthony Rupert (talk) 17:30, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
It's Carlton Jbriggity (talk) 04:44, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
Farrakhan/NOI
[edit]The BBC just ran an interview with Chuck D and stated that he is a disciple of Louis Farrakhan and is promoting the Nation of Islam's ideas in his rap. Is that mentioned in the article? Badagnani (talk) 05:59, 23 June 2008 (UTC)

Politics section
[edit]Propose to rewrite first line of section to read: "Ridenhour has strongly-held political beliefs and convictions", since "extremely politically active" is not verified by any subsequent statement. What does the author understand by "extremely politically active"? If Ridenhour was regularly organising political marches then I could understand it. Granted Chuck D, through Public Enemy's music, has/had a reputation for espousing important political themes around black rights and consciousness. But rapping or doing interviews or hosting radio stations hardly qualifies as extreme political activism. Or maybe further verification is available.Rachel0898 (talk) 06:48, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
Bomb Squad
[edit]Why doesn't the article mention his part in The Bomb Squad. The Production Crew responsible for Most of Public Enemy's music, Ice Cube & Bel Biv Devoe amongst others. Jbriggity (talk) 04:47, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
Slipknot - No Life
[edit]Chuck D appears in the song No Life - Slipknot text.

disambiguation
[edit]Is the disambiguation at the top of the article really necessary? Who has ever wanted to know facts about Charles Darwin and entered "Chuck D" into a search engine? -- Myke Cuthbert (talk) 23:46, 8 October 2009 (UTC)
- removed; others can revert if more discussion is warranted. -- Myke Cuthbert (talk) 14:17, 9 October 2009 (UTC)
Would a photo of his wife be appropriate for the article?
[edit]I recently took what I think is a very good photo of Gaye Theresa Johnson (Chuck D's wife) at the Pop Conference. I leave it to someone else to decide whether a photo of her belongs in the article. (I added a closeup of Chuck D himself to the article.) - Jmabel | Talk 07:37, 2 March 2011 (UTC)
Changed Vegetarian to Pescatarian
[edit]In the video of the cited source, Chuck D says that he eats fish. That would make him a pescatarian, not a vegetarian.

Sonic Youth "Kool Thing"
[edit]Chuck D also contributed to Sonic Youth's "Kool Thing" from the album "Goo." He also appears in the video. Whoops. Overlooked it in the body, didn't see it in the lest of other musical appearances though.

Religion?
[edit]Question at [2]. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 07:00, 12 June 2014 (UTC)
- This interview seems to quote Chuck D as saying he's not a Sunni Muslim, but a "culturalist". Following BLP, I've removed it. —Tom Morris (talk) 12:12, 12 June 2014 (UTC)
- It´s a bit vague, but good enough for me. Well done! Does that count as a "This article has been mentioned by a media organisation" as well..? Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 13:35, 12 June 2014 (UTC)
- Gråbergs Gråa Sång: Sure, if you want to add a template, go for it. —Tom Morris (talk) 14:24, 12 June 2014 (UTC)
