This article is somewhat confusing as now written. The BAID apparently had multiple divisions; these may have operated somewhat independently. This is not altogether clear to me. If the structure of BAID could be made clear, then the article might reflect that structure and the various divisions might be indicated with sub-heads and the sub-sections might house architectural material separated from the sculpture material, mural painting material, etc. Chesterct (talk) 18:23, 18 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Chesterct, cordially, I'm restoring the list of alumni. The BAID was most certainly a school, with instructors and classes and competitions and alumni, but it wasn't a school of architecture. It was a school for architectural sculptors. The list of alumni are all sculptors, and a quick Google will verify: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&safe=off&q=%22beaux-art+institute+of+design%22+&btnG=Search. For more background on the origins and results of BAID see Michele Bogart's Public Sculpture and the Civic Ideal in New York City pgs 295-297. What made you think it wasn't a school? --Lockley (talk) 18:48, 26 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Reeves Recording Studio - Photo

[edit]

The photo of 304 East Forty-fourth Street, New York is from when it was the The Reeves Recording Studio. Is there any relation between BAID and Reeves Recording? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.245.145.4 (talk) 23:26, 23 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
