VERY impressive school!
[edit]I'm personally glad this article was not deleted. Although not an alumnus of BHS (Barnstable High School) myself, I graduated from one of the neighboring "rival" high schools (D-Y). BHS is DEFINITELY in a class of its own, especially after the expansion and addition of the Performing Arts Center. Any "naysayers" need only see the school for themselves. It is impressive! -J
GA Review
[edit]- This review is transcluded from Talk:Barnstable High School/GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the review.
I don't think this article is anywhere near GA yet, and I'm inviting you to withdraw, since it's bound to fail
- The lead does not summarise the article Wikipedia:Lead section
- Much of the text lacks references
- The refs that are there are lacking information and are not necessarily formatted correctly per WP:MOS. As one example, ref 5 does not give the website, the date of publication or the author
- The section headings are incorrectly capitalised per WP:MOS
- At least one ref is also an external link
- the prose needs checking and formatting the book tiles should be italicised too. I think you mean alumni, not attendees unless they are still at school.
- The text is not encyclopaedic or neutral, eg
- The music department is renowned in town because of its many accomplishments. is spam unless you can give it an independent verifiable source - there are many similar unsourced claims
- The school itself has had a long and tumultuous history. one of several non-encyclopaedic sentences
I think there's too much to do to get this through in a reasonable time, this is the sort of article you need to aim for.

Scale grade
[edit]I do not think this school is significant to become a 'Mid' importance level. A school that'd might be a Mid-class would be for an example: Sandy Hook. Nick2crosby (talk) 15:43, 14 May 2015 (UTC)
