While her usernames are not changed (due to character limits for Twitter, perhaps due to wanting a shorter name for IG, and perhaps due to years with the same usernames), her display name is changed on both accounts. It's been ≈8 years since the band disbanded, and Barlow Guidi's marriage is the most recent and most notable news from the band. On Wikipedia, we typically go with people's preferred names, with few exceptions. This is why with Alisa Childers, her married name is used, even though most to all ZOEgirl discography uses Girard instead of Childers. In light of Barlow Guidi's current preferred name, should we update this article accordingly?
P.S.: The "Despite the band's change of mind on purity culture" sentence is because BarlowGirl did make many objectionable choices. This was best noticed from 2013 to today. By sending a mixed message, it cast doubt that even one of the sisters would marry at all. That said, I pray that Rebecca's marriage goes well and has the foundation of Jesus Christ.
I changed the text "express their anti-abortion views" to "express their anti-abortion (pro-life) views". I disagree with how Wikipedia is handling pro-abortion and anti-abortion/pro-life topics, suggesting that "abortion rights" should somehow be a thing, but not personhood rights or similar. BarlowGirl was anti-abortion, but generally used the term pro-life instead of anti-abortion. LABcrabs (talk) 10:31, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
