Biographies of living persons

Please note that per WP:BLP, information about living persons must adhere strictly to all applicable laws in the United States, to this policy, and to Wikipedia's three core content policies: Neutral point of view (NPOV), Verifiability (V), No original research (NOR).

As currently sourced, Aquaria seems to be a subject notable only for one event. I'm assuming that winning one season of RuPaul's Drag Race is enough to justify an article, but it may be a stretch. It's certainly causing problems with attempts to make this article anything more than a WP:STUB, as many of the the sources are poor, simple publicity pieces, which makes it difficult to avoid WP:POV and WP:NOT, especially WP:SOAP, problems.

As for including Fashion Institute of Technology in the infobox, I think it's a stretch to say that two semesters at the school is relevant to Aquaria's notability strongly enough to include. It's in the article body now, which seems fine. --Ronz (talk) 16:44, 4 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Predecessor = Sasha Velour

Currently, the infobox mentions Sasha Velour as a "predecessor". I'm familiar with Drag Race, but people who are not may not understand how Sasha Velour is a predecessor. Good catch, because it is confusing without context. I'd say remove it since this article is about Aquaria, not RuPaul's Drag Race. It's stil in the RuPaul's Drag Race infobox at the bottom of the page with context. --Ronz (talk) 19:32, 4 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The articles for all other Drag Race winners list both their predecessor and their successor in the infobox without further context -- though some of the "Known for" sections say "Rupaul's Drag Race (season X) winner," rather than simply "Rupaul's Drag Race (season X)." First and foremost, I think we should be consistent across seasons. Therefore, we ought to either add Sasha Velour back here or remove all the predecessors and successors from season winner infoboxes.

Personally, I think the information is useful and in line with what is done in infoboxes for other reality TV series winners. Therefore, my preference would be to put Sasha's name back here and also add context by changing the "Known for" entry to "RuPaul's Drag Race (season 10) winner." Relevant enough?

Right now the Personal life section says, "On July 3, 2018, singer Bebe Rexha criticized Aquaria and the other Drag Race top four queens over Twitter for supposed bad behavior toward her at the VH1 Trailblazer Honors, such as not talking to her and being "cold". Aquaria responded with a series of tweets defending herself and her fellow queens." Who cares? Any opposition to removing? ---Another Believer _(Talk) 23:19, 7 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Another Believer: Eh, it's borderline. There was a momentary stink about that in pop culture news [1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8], but it's clearly not a major point of Aquaria's life or career, either.
