Excessive quotes
[edit]The subsection "selections from the maktubat" needs to be removed. It makes the article look very unprofessional and unacademic. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.215.19.40 (talk) 02:07, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
hello
[edit]Hello All! As my first project I'm currently working on knowledge about İmam Rabbani (or Ahmad Sirhindi as called here) I shall put together a completeley wikipedia-true article with references and links to webpages. I'll try to finish this as soon as I can. I'm open to any kind of suggestions on this matter. --Suleyman Habeeb 19:03, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
I think this article should also mention Sirhindi's view toward to non-Muslims and Akbar's "Din-e-Ilahi". User:Jatt06
U should lock it... Hassan Sirhandi (talk) 04:04, 25 September 2020 (UTC)
Big un related addings
[edit]I have edited that article with this big un explained adding to Ahmad Sirhandi's page but this user still trying to create chaos inside of nothingness by just reverting that article to this unrelated material i need your attention to please check wether this material is worth adding to this article or not vote for it on his discussion page. Abrar Ahmed 07:53, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
I am fully support of Sulayman that no one should revert it again
--Abrar Ahmed 07:01, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
big unexplained edits
[edit]Another contributor made a huge unexplained excision to this article. I left a suggestion on their talk page] that they should consider putting an explanation on the associated talk page any time they made an excision that large. They left a reply on my talk page that seemed to indicate an unwillingness to be cooperative and respectful to others, and that they felt no obligation to explain themselves. They said they suspected I knew nothing about Ahmad Sirhindi. That's true. I don't. But I know that huge excisions like this must be explained, no matter what the topic. So, I reverted it.
Cheers! -- Geo Swan 06:41, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
Stop the revert war
[edit]People, nobody revert again. We're starting to break rules here so let's keep the equilibrium here and don't revert again. --Suleyman Habeeb 08:59, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
- I have reverted the page yet again. I reverted in cooperation with the user User:Geo Swan who was opposing the same action which was taken by User:Abrar47. Also I reverted the revert of User:Naohiro19 who probably saw the big change ob recent changes or something. The part I excised now contains POV. it is written differently from the rest of article and was added by a one time user. I would like anyone to stop, and think before reverting again as consensus was reached among us users who opposed or supported the revert. --Suleyman Habeeb 09:26, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

Recent edits
[edit]Raoulkhan, an editor with no user page, has recently added long quotes with no sources while deleting other that do have sources. I restored the deleted ones but left some of Raoulkhan's quotes with the [citation needed] tag.
So Raoulkhan, we do need to know where you found stuff about: A Muslim does not revolt against the government of the country where he lives .... --BoogaLouie (talk) 23:26, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
More edits
[edit]Raoulkhan we need sources for your statements: There was great uneasiness within the muslim communities over the state of Islam in the Indian subcontinent. Just as with all puritan movements, his was a reaction to the hedonism of the Mughals .... Sirhindi professed the importance of orthodox Islam as a result of the syncretistic, pantheist views of the Mughals. --BoogaLouie (talk) 19:26, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
Also the date of birth of Ahmad Sarhindi is contradictory. The date mentioned on this page is 26 May, while i have read 26Jun on two different occasions. Nimrainayat6290 (talk) 07:13, 6 March 2016 (UTC)
Unreliable Sources
[edit]The following users keep trying to add some contentious material into this article.
The material is based on the following sources:
- http://www.paklinks.com/gs/indo-pak-history/619449-intolerant-letters-by-shaikh-ahmad-sirhindi-print.html. This is a blog site.
- http://www.investigateislam.com/violent_truth_behind_the_sufi_ma.htm. This is an anti-Muslim hate site.
Neither source is reliable according to WP:RS and hence I will remove the material. If you feel that the above should remain please discuss on this page first.
Thanks RookTaker (talk) 00:25, 14 December 2014 (UTC)
Sir!!
Shaikh Ahmad Sirhindi's letters have been published in Jahagirnama where he praised his killing of non-muslims and specifically Guru Arjan Dev ji. Why do you want to not put the truth in the page?
thanks
Jaggajat (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 16:41, 16 December 2014 (UTC)
- @Jaggajat: What you are claiming might be accurate. However we need to provide reliable sources for these claims based on Wikipedia guidelines - please read WP:RS. Unfortunately a blog site and a bigoted anti-Muslim site are just not credible. RookTaker (talk) 17:59, 16 December 2014 (UTC)
Wrong Date of Birth
[edit]I think the date of birth mentioned on this page is wrong, its 26 June instead of 26 May. I have already added "citation needed" on the mentioned date of birth but there is no response. I have read 26 June at two different occasions. Please change this to 26 June or mention reliable sources plz.NimXaif6290 16:04, 8 March 2016 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nimrainayat6290 (talk • contribs)
Addition of full bio data
[edit]Some important information is missing from the info box of the article. Info like father name, mother name and siblings etc must also be mentioned there. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nimrainayat6290 (talk • contribs) 17:02, 8 March 2016 (UTC)

In order to create a fair and balanceda article of Ahmad Sirhindi, we need to also incorporate his view of non-Muslims and Akbar's "Deen-e-Ilahi". |

Shaikh Ahmad Sirhindi and Shias
[edit]Sirhindi also wrote a treatise under the title "Radd-e-Rawafiz" to justify the slaughter of shias by Abdullah Khan Uzbek in Mashhad. In this he argues:
"Since the Shia permit cursing Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman and one of the chaste wives (of the Prophet), which in itself constitutes infedality, it is incumbent upon the Muslim ruler, nay upon all people, in compliance with the command of the Omniscient King (Allah), to kill them and to oppress them in order to elevate the true religion. It is permissible to destroy their buildings and to seize their property and belongings."[1]
He has expressed his hate towards Shias in his letters too. According to him, the worst distorters of faith "are those who bear malice against the companions of Prophet Muhammad. God has called them Kafirs in the Quran". In a letter to Sheikh Farid, he said that showing respect to the distortors of faith (ahl-e-Bidʻah) amounted to destruction of Islam[2].
