Alexandra Pohl (born October 30, 2000), known professionally as Xandra, is an American DJ and social media personality. She became known for her "get ready with me" videos on TikTok.
Life and career
[edit]Born in Cincinnati, Pohl got interested in DJing as a high school junior after seeing Alison Wonderland perform at Lollapalooza. She taught herself to use mixing equipment that her mother bought her and DJed at her high school prom.[3][4] She went to college at the University of Miami, where she majored in marketing and DJed at fraternity parties and a local nightclub at age 18.[4][5] She also was in the Sigma Delta Tau sorority.[citation needed] She also started a TikTok account and became friends with future TikTok star Alix Earle as a college freshman. Three years later, she began posting daily to TikTok, gaining a following with her "get ready with me" videos in late 2022.[6][7] She had almost one million followers on the platform by early 2023, which helped her establish herself as a working DJ.[5][8]
Pohl performed regularly as a DJ after her graduation in 2023, opening for artists such as the Chainsmokers, Kygo, and Calvin Harris.[3][9] She DJed and modeled at the Sports Illustrated runway show at Miami Swim Week that year and appeared in Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Issue the following year.[3][10] She released her first single, "Body Say", featuring vocals from GiGi Grombacher, on July 12, 2024.[11]
