[edit]I can offer a history of Yorkshire Engine Co (a pet subject of mine) and a few notes on Nigerian Railways, if this is not someone else’s project.
Other thinks I think I contribute to I have put on my user page. AHEMSLTD 10:22, 23 September 2005 (UTC)
Railroads by region
[edit]A large number of those that have been written in the "Railroads by region" chapter are redirects to either general transportation articles, or to state-run official railroads. Should any of them really be removed from this list? ----DanTD (talk) 12:57, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
Compartment carriages
[edit]Can any rail buff tell me - by including the info in a wikipedia page - when railway carriages were first built with corridors? I haven't found this info in what I have read. I am not knowledgeable myself.
I can remember travelling in compartments with no corridors on the line between Glasgow and Stranraer in the 1950s. I remember the older generation enthusing about the great advance of the corridor train!

Moccasin train?
[edit]The article refers to a Moccasin train. But "List of named passenger trains of Canada" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_named_passenger_trains_of_Canada does not list this train; neither does this train appear on the named train citations in the Consists sections for Canadian National and Canadian Pacific, in the January 1950 volume of the Official Guide of the Railways. It does not appear in this list either: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_named_passenger_trains_of_the_United_States_(I%E2%80%93M) Which company operated the train?
