First Lady of Puerto Rico
See the discussion at Talk:First Lady of Puerto Rico regarding the inclusion of the list of First Ladies within the article or as a spin off. It was split off with List of secretaries of State of Puerto Rico as well. --kelapstick(bainuu) 21:14, 16 November 2012 (UTC)
- I do not agree with your suggestion but I have added the proper cleanup templates to the section in the original articles and to the articles in question to indicate that they both must be improved. See List of Secretaries of State of the United States which is presented exactly just as a list without any lead section and List of First Ladies of the United States. I strongly believe that my suggestions are a viable solution to this dispute and that they help reach consensus in good faith.
- It seems this matter is being discussed in a number of places,,, so until someone decides to "ground" these various discussions on one single talk page, here is my contribution to this section and, in particular, my comment to the unsigned paragraph above by User:Ahnoneemoos:
- Every article in Wikipedia needs improving, even GA's and FA's, so -- no offense Ahnoneemoos -- but stating the obvious, IMMHO, contributes nothing.
- That List of Secretaries of State of the United States doesn't have a lead section... So what? That article (1) is not part of the PR WikiProject, so its format is a nonissue here, and (2) that article is not a Wikipedia policy establishing how every "List of Secretaries of..." must be formatted. To make your case, Ahnoneemoos, you would need is to dig up a Wikipedia policy that states that articles with "List of..." in their title cannot contain a lead... One more comment: maybe some people get the idea that if an article is titled with the words "List of..." on it, then it is not suppossed to have anything but a list in it. To be precise, there are very few lists in Wikipedia that are actual lists, the bulk of them -- including List of Secretaries of State of the United States -- are actually tables. New lists of requested articles
I created a new list of requested articles related to Puerto Rico. Since it's kinda technical the way it works please feel free to contact me if you need help adding articles to it or if you want to add a new category under it. In the meantime please help create the articles listed there!!! —Ahnoneemoos (talk) 15:55, 21 November 2012 (UTC)
Economy of Puerto Rico series
I need help with creating articles related to the Economy of Puerto Rico. Please see the list of articles related to the Economy of Puerto Rico and create those that don't exist!!! —Ahnoneemoos (talk) 15:55, 21 November 2012 (UTC)
Puerto Rico statehood movement
I need help in keeping Puerto Rico statehood movement as a stand alone article. Someone redirected it to Puerto Rico (proposed state) after a discussion with a very, very low quorum. This is in contrast to Puerto Rico independence movement and the newly created Puerto Rico free association movement which stand by its own. —Ahnoneemoos (talk) 18:07, 21 November 2012 (UTC)
- Ahnoneemoos, I agree with you that Puerto Rico statehood movement should be a stand alone article and I made my opinion known at the Puerto Rico (proposed state) Talk Page on 15:26, 20 November 2012 (UTC). So my help is given; now we must both await community consensus. My name is Mercy11 (talk) 01:58, 22 November 2012 (UTC), and I approve this message.
Puerto Rico free association movement
Just created Puerto Rico free association movement to contrast it with Puerto Rico statehood movement and Puerto Rico independence movement but I need help referencing and expanding it. I have no interest on it. —Ahnoneemoos (talk) 18:07, 21 November 2012 (UTC)
- That's odd, isn't it? If I read you right, you are saying you created Puerto Rico free association movement, need help in referencing and expanding it, yet have no interest in it. I am afraid you will need a better argument than that to get help with that article. You don't sound very convincing... Mayors of Puerto Rico
Hi folks I just updated Mayoralty in Puerto Rico and I need help creating the list of current mayors, the different mayorships, and compiling the list of current mayors by political party for the templates. Please see:
- Mayoralty in Puerto Rico
- List of current mayors of Puerto Rico
- Template:Mayorship in Puerto Rico
- Template:Current mayors of Puerto Rico
and follow the conventions already set.
As an example, I have modified Mayor of Ponce, Puerto Rico to set an example of where we should be headed. Each mayorship should have its own article and focus on that particular mayorship and its history, with a complementary and detailed list of the former mayors of said municipality—such as List of mayors of Ponce, Puerto Rico and List of mayors of San Juan, Puerto Rico.
If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions please let me know.
