Project tools and reports
I took the liberty of signing this task force up for articles alerts (Wikipedia:WikiProject Insects/Hymenoptera task force/Article alerts) and popular pages (Wikipedia:WikiProject Insects/Hymenoptera task force/Popular pages). Both of these are red links for the moment, as the pages are created by a bot. Article alerts should be created in about 12 hours (the bot for this runs daily), and popular pages will take a couple of weeks (bot runs monthly).
There are a couple other reports that might be of interest, but I have less experience enabling these (especially for task forces rather than projects). There's cleanup listing, which lists articles tagged with various maintenance templates (citation needed, orphaned, CS1 errors, etc.); here's what that report looks like for insects in general [1]. Another report is Hot Articles which tracks articles with many recent edits. You can sign up for that at User:HotArticlesBot/Subscriptions. Finally, there's a project based report of articles needing links to disambiguation pages fixed. As far as I can tell, it's automatically generated (no sign-up required), but doesn't work for task forces. Here is that report for insects [2]. Plantdrew (talk) 20:09, 25 April 2016 (UTC)
- The dab tool was really useful; it's a shame it doesn't work for task forces though. Cleanup listing is enabled for the ant task force (added via User:CleanupWorklistBot#Adding a project). Being able to find unsourced statements is the best thing about it, because without a tool for finding tagged articles it feels largely meaningless to tag them at all. jonkerz ♠talk 20:53, 25 April 2016 (UTC)
Popular pages report
We – Community Tech – are happy to announce that the Popular pages bot is back up-and-running (after a one year hiatus)! You're receiving this message because your WikiProject or task force is signed up to receive the popular pages report. Every month, Community Tech bot will post at Wikipedia:WikiProject Insects/Hymenoptera task force/Archive 1/Popular pages with a list of the most-viewed pages over the previous month that are within the scope of WikiProject Insects.
We've made some enhancements to the original report. Here's what's new:
- The pageview data includes both desktop and mobile data.
- The report will include a link to the pageviews tool for each article, to dig deeper into any surprises or anomalies.
- The report will include the total pageviews for the entire project (including redirects).
We're grateful to Mr.Z-man for his original Mr.Z-bot, and we wish his bot a happy robot retirement. Just as before, we hope the popular pages reports will aid you in understanding the reach of WikiProject Insects, and what articles may be deserving of more attention. If you have any questions or concerns please contact us at m:User talk:Community Tech bot.
Warm regards, the Community Tech Team 17:16, 17 May 2017 (UTC)
Add to the "Tasks by superfamily" list please
Armaniidae and Plumalexiidae should be added to the "Tasks by superfamily" list, and checked off for the family expansion at least. Thanks! --Kevmin § 12:30, 7 November 2017 (UTC)
Categorization of a sets of images
Hi. I have a question for some expert users. these images uploaded for Wiki Science Competition 2017 show a bee in India. the images are good, so it was worth to categorize them. I have asked a biologist but she does not recognize the species, although she agrees it has a peculiar shape. Can you help me? thank you!--Alexmar983 (talk) 22:39, 5 May 2018 (UTC)

Home of Ichneumonoidea
Does anyone know anything about the status of Home of Ichneumonoidea (Taxapad), run by Dicky Sick Ki Yu? The web address (www.taxapad.com) has returned nothing for the last week or so. I've raised the question at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Tree of Life#Home of Ichneumonoidea and if anybody's got ideas, we can discuss them there.
