Move request at Nazi concentration camps
A move proposal has been made at Talk:Nazi concentration camps#Requested move. Both sides are not always using the best arguments, and more eyes on the issue would be helpful. Cs32en 23:02, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
- It is important to be clear that Nazi concentration camps, where victims of the master race had died in millions, were set up and financed by the Nazi German State. This fact should not be manipulated.--24.182.186.67 (talk) 07:00, 1 January 2010 (UTC)

- I have essentially finished by contribution to thsi new article, Please can the article be given a quality rating by this WikiProject? --Roland Sparkes (talk) 00:26, 8 January 2010 (UTC)
RATING required. I have expanded and improved this article a lot more lately, please can the article be reviewed and a quality rating be assigned. Thanks--Roland Sparkes (talk) 11:56, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
Rating of Freya von Moltke
This article has been rated B-class, both as a biography and under Project Germany. Apparently, someone other than a normal editor is required for the B-class rating to take effect in the Project Germany box.
The article clearly: The article meets the following five criteria:
- It is suitably referenced, and all major points are appropriately cited.
- It reasonably covers the topic, and does not contain major omissions or inaccuracies.
- It has a defined structure, including a lead section and one or more sections of content.
- It is free from major grammatical errors.
- It contains appropriate supporting materials, such as an infobox, images, or diagrams.
Please consider setting the Project Germany box to B-class.
Sincerely, User:HopsonRoad 22:57, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
Translating articles on German colonies
I've been GoogleTranslating various articles on former German colonies, as well as creating and populating categories thereof. I'd appreciate any help in cleaning up one or two points in the translation, marked with a [clarification needed] in most cases, or in some cases shielded with the <!--to only be visible when editing. Also any help in further populating the new categories, from German translation or existing English articles, would be awesome. The new content:
- Sokehs Rebellion
- Salaga Area
- Category:Togoland (still needs translations of de:Missahoe and de:Gaston Thierry
- St. Anna (mission station)
- Astrolabe Company
- Category:German New Guinea
Thanks! MatthewVanitas (talk) 05:15, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you for your work! I've cleaned up the Astrolabe Company now. Best regards --Cyfal (talk) 09:24, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
- Now I've also modified the other articles. --Cyfal (talk) 14:03, 8 January 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for the help. Got three more. Are folks finding this to be a workable method to plus-up German history articles?
- Hans Tappenbeck (came out kinda rough)
- Battle of Maroua-Miskin
- Dume district
- Gaston Thierry
- Morocco-Congo Treaty
MatthewVanitas (talk) 02:59, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
- I also modified these. Having your translation already at hand, it's much easyier to refine the articles instead starting from scratch! --Cyfal (talk) 10:34, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
- Here's another one that's a little rough: Ossidinge. Feel free to message me if you want native-English cleaup. Again, your German proficiency is most helpful. And also I started Iwindo. MatthewVanitas (talk) 06:18, 12 January 2010 (UTC)
- I've also did Ossidinge now. You may check all my updates for a native-English cleanup, because my English is not that good. Also, I've posted you a message at Talk:Astrolabe Company, maybe you can check this? Best regards --Cyfal (talk) 15:13, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
Zweigniederlassung/Oddział_przedsiębiorstwa
What is de:Zweigniederlassung/pl:Oddział_przedsiębiorstwa? Could it get an article on EN? I posted this request on here since people in this project may be able to read the German article. WhisperToMe (talk) 06:43, 12 January 2010 (UTC)
Zweigniederlassung is the opposite of head office/hedquarter. I don't know, what the right english translation is. Maybe Chain store or retail chain, also banch office could be the right word? Neuwied80 (talk) 16:37, 16 June 2010 (UT Branch seems to be the right word.--92.230.232.136 (talk) 18:26, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- A Zweigniederlassung is a branch of a company detached from the head office, but not independent. Appears to be legally different (in Germany?) from a Tochterunternehmen (subsidiary) or a Filiale (branch, usually of a bank or firm), both of which are 'independent'. --Bermicourt (talk) 05:52, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
- I think a Filiale is like a Zweigniederlassung (often used in the same context). A subsidiary of cause is independent. Maybe, somtimes branches aren't independent and somtimes there are independent branches (or often a "mix" of both). I would say, branches are most economical independent but otherwise only detached from the head office. Neuwied80 (talk) 14:58, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
Worth expanding Bosniak Corps?
I'm no expert on Prussian military history, but I've created a stub for Bosniak Corps in case anyone wants to expand it. I mainly did it because it had a cool picture. MatthewVanitas (talk) 16:31, 17 January 2010 (UTC)

WP 1.0 bot announcement
This message is being sent to each WikiProject that participates in the WP 1.0 assessment system. On Saturday, January 23, 2010, the WP 1.0 bot will be upgraded. Your project does not need to take any action, but the appearance of your project's summary table will change. The upgrade will make many new, optional features available to all WikiProjects. Additional information is available at the WP 1.0 project homepage. — Carl (CBM · talk) 03:21, 22 January 2010 (UTC)
Putting images from the German Wikipedia to use on the English Wikipedia
Some time ago I wrote a computer program that uses the database dumps of EN/DE Wikipedia to create lists of articles on EN which have no image, where the German article about the same subject does. I have been using these lists to add images from the German Wikipedia to the English Wikipedia, but there are way more results than I can go through myself. I am wondering if there are other people who want to use these lists to add images to articles. I put some more information and sample lists on User:Arthena/DE image list. If people are interested in this, I will put online more of the lists. Any feedback is welcome; up to now I have only used these lists myself. Not all of the images are about subjects related to Germany, rather, they are images from the German Wikipedia. Arthena(talk) 19:59, 23 January 2010 (UTC)
Greenland articles about "Unternehmen" ???
I was looking for good Greenland articles in other languages which are lacking on en.wiki. Found these, but with GoogleTranslate I'm getting mostly gibberish. If anyone has translation skills and thinks these are worth it, I'd be happy to clean them up to native-English if you ping me a message. Just thought it'd be fun to add a bit to the Greenland section.
MatthewVanitas (talk) 04:55, 24 January 2010 (UTC)
- These are all essentially subarticles of de:Wetterstationen der Wehrmacht in der Arktis: each of them is about an undertaking to establish a weather station in Greenland. I'd say this is more very very detailed German military history than actually about Greenland. —Кузьма討論 08:07, 24 January 2010 (UTC)
Category tags
Does anyone know the most appropriate tag for category talk pages - I have found both the default wikiproject germany - which defaults to the category status - and someone has also tagged wikiproject germaany|class=NA - if anyone was ever to run a bot - it might sort of need consistency. Also a lot of really obvious categories for this project are blank... SatuSuro 08:48, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
Cleanup list at Wikipedia:WikiProject Germany/Cleanup listing#Unreferenced BLPs
FYI - A massive discussion is taking place at a Request for comment (RfC) Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Biographies of living people. About 50k of articles are currently unreferenced and therefore in danger of deletion, some of those are on German subjects. I will add the proper template on the main page to have a bot generate the cleanup list after some days (hopefully). The cleanup link in the title above will then point to a list of unreferenced articles with the WikiProject Germany template on its talk page. Please revise articles on the list, when possible,
- review them for contentious unsourced information pr WP:BLP concerns
- add references (you may e.g. lift references from the German page, if that page exists)
- remove the {{BLP unsourced}} template from the article.
Thank you. Power.corrupts (talk) 19:56, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
- Has this gone any further? Does the bot also process subcategories? For instance does it work with Category:WikiProject Germany articles, which has no direct members? The talk pages are categorized using the subcategories under Category: Germany articles by quality. Actualy, might it even be better to use the subcategories, so that we get separate lists for Stub class, Start class, B class, Unassessed, etc.? --Boson (talk) 22:27, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
- I have no idea what is going on with this project, although I did know it was underway. Auntieruth55 (talk) 23:03, 16 March 2010 (UTC)

You are invited to participate in a poll. Skäpperöd (talk) 11:21, 29 January 2010 (UTC) Riesengebirge has belonged to the Czech Republik and Poland since 1945. Proofreading necessary? New section Frederick III, German Emperor # Unmarried, a Son is Born
I think, someboby with historic background should proofread this section. Where do the Lufthansa executives work out of?
I noticed that this page on Lufthansa's website says that the headquarters are in Cologne: http://konzern.lufthansa.com/en/service/imprint.html While this one describes the headquarters as being in Frankfurt: http://presse.lufthansa.com/fileadmin/downloads/en/policy-brief/07_2009/Lufthansa-PolicyBrief-July-2009-Sustainability.pdf
Lufthansa has facilities in both cities. The question is, where are the executives based out of? I understand that the Investor Relations and Media Relations departments are out of Frankfurt. I believe that the finance department is in Cologne. In which facility does the executive leadership of Lufthansa work out of? WhisperToMe (talk) 21:56, 14 February 2010 (UTC)
- Hi, I'm from Neuwied, it's straight in the middle of Cologne and Frankfurt (100 km both). Because of your question, I've recherched it for you and I was really surprised. I've always thought it's Frankfurt, because Frankfurt is the Home Based Airport/Turnstile of Lufthansa and I've always associated Lufthansa only with Frankfurt. I've never heard about a connection between Lufthansa and Cologne, but my reserch showed, that the Lufthansa Headquarters is truly in Cologne. I'm very surprised, couse the Lufthansa main location is certainly Frankfurt. Neuwied80 (talk) 21:11, 17 June 2010 (UTC)

Do we need an assessment bot?
We are soooo far behind on the assessments of articles. Do we need an assessment bot? Or some kind of bot? For example, the articles that overlap with wikiproject military history (which manages to keep up on its assessments, more or less), tend to get the same ratings. I rate them similarly, at least, and I think some of the people who assess for MH also assess WPG articles. Could we at least use a bot that would do those overlaps? and possibly others? What do you think? Auntieruth55 (talk) 18:35, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
- That's a good point. However it's not axiomatic that 2 projects should have the same rating for an article. For example, the Prussian state railways are rated as 'top importance' for Rail transport in Germany and only 'high' for WikiProject Trains. It's not tagged for WikiProject Germany, but might only attract a 'mid'. I have tried to simplify the task by trying to come up with simple criteria e.g. for rail articles (see here). So Cat 1 stations (of international importance) are top, Cat 2 stations are high, etc. The categories are set by DB. It at least provides a measure of consistency. But we need to agree the criteria in each field first... --Bermicourt (talk) 19:01, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
- I wasn't thinking so much of importance, but at least of class. And if something isn't double tagged, at least we could get the ones that are. Right now there are over 300 articles that have not had any assessment from the project. some of them need it, some probably actually don't. Auntieruth55 (talk) 19:25, 1 March 2010 (UTC)

Multiple move for German federal election, 1871 and following years?
I just happened to stumble on :German federal election, 1871. This definitely seems to be the wrong name, since we are talking about the Reichstag, not the Bundestag. Since there are similar aricles from 1871 to the present day, any change to the name would apply to numerous articles. Should all the articles be renamed to German national election, xxxx, or should we use different names, as appropriate, for different years?. If we can reach agreement here, should we then take a multiple move request to WP:Requested moves?--Boson (talk) 16:07, 5 March 2010 (UTC)

Unreferenced living people articles bot
User:DASHBot/Wikiprojects provides a list, updated daily, of unreferenced living people articles (BLPs) related to your project. There has been a lot of discussion recently about deleting these unreferenced articles, so it is important that these articles are referenced.
The unreferenced articles related to your project can be found at >>>Wikipedia:WikiProject Germany/Archive 13/Unreferenced BLPs<<<
If you do not want this wikiproject to participate, please add your project name to this list.
Thank you.
- Update: Wikipedia:WikiProject Germany/Archive 13/Unreferenced BLPs has been created. This list, which is updated by User:DASHBot/Wikiprojects daily, will allow your wikiproject to quickly identify unreferenced living person articles.
- There maybe no or few articles on this new Unreferenced BLPs page. To increase the overall number of articles in your project with another bot, you can sign up for User:Xenobot_Mk_V#Instructions.
- If you have any questions or concerns, visit User talk:DASHBot/Wikiprojects. Okip 00:56, 28 March 2010 (UTC)

- The German Wikipedia is more relaxed about references, but not as relaxed as it looks. It uses a system of putting references in the edit summary. In practice this means that you search through the page history in order to perhaps find a source there. Hans Adler 23:01, 28 March 2010 (UTC)

- If this were streets of central Berlin, maybe, but a list of streets in an outer suburb? I see there's discussion at German wikipedia about the notability of this list as well. Markussep Talk 16:35, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
Central Berlin, major streets would be better to start with I agree.... Somebody though on German wiki seems to intend doing every district. And I thought German wikipedia had such high standards for notability... Dr. Blofeld White cat 16:41, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
- I like it. It gives a good idea of what an urban neighborhood looks like. Very illustrative. I'm not sure every district deserves it, though. I'd rather see articles that show the change over time of the districts. Auntieruth55 (talk) 16:42, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
I think its good too. And there is a wikiproject on German wikipedia dedicated to it here. They seem to be just getting underway. Personally I think this is a much better way to cover them than having seperate articles on roads and provides a good summary and illustration for anybody wishing to examine part of the city in detail. Dr. Blofeld White cat 16:45, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
- I don't mind helping but I see the German article is being nominated for deletion and I don't want to waste valuable time translating stuff if the English article also gets torpedoed. --Bermicourt (talk) 17:51, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
Now seriously, isn't there a speedy criterion for this? Hans Adler 18:19, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
- Copy&pasting an article from another language version without any attempt at attribution of the original author? Two, actually, WP:CSD#G12 "blatant copyright violation" and WP:CSD#A2 "Foreign language articles that exist on another Wikimedia project". Amalthea 20:26, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
I have tagged both lists for notability problems. Please do not simply remove this. It would be incredibly bitey to let some poor sod learn about our notability criteria after translating this cruft. Hans Adler 18:23, 19 March 2010 (UTC) Might I ask then, if German wikipedia is so superior why they have these articles then? I don't see them as "cruft" but I admit I find them "very" localised. But I'd rather a list than a stub about each of the streets wouldn't you? I'll delete them if you'd rather but I can see at some point them being restarted...
Fine I've db-authored them. I must say that once again I find your tone (and cynicism) Amalthea and Hans rather unnecessary. List of nature parks in Germany was started in the same way with no problems. As for "foreign language article exists on another wikipedia" we have plenty of translation and inuse tags which contradict that criteria and allow editors to translate material from other wikipedias. In fact there is a project I started dedicated purely to it. As for a "copyvio" all you have to do is add {translated|de|article in the article talk page. The thought of German wikipedia suing english wikipedia I find amusing... Dr. Blofeld White cat 22:01, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
Sachsen-Anhalt separatism
I've recently run into content forks of the Saalekreis and Saxony-Anhalt articles at Saale District and Sachsen-Anhalt respectively. It appears to me that IP editors of the latter two articles are attempting to push the claim that Saxony-Anhalt has declared its independence from Germany and hopes to become part of the United States. These are at best content forks; at worst they could constitute an embarrassing prank. I'd appreciate some help from this WikiProject in straightening out the situation. --Stepheng3 (talk) 19:09, 19 March 2010 (UTC)

The addendum "East Berlin" in parenthesis seems a bit strange, since there is no "East Berlin" any longer (Germany was reunified in 1990, remember?), but the orchestra still exists, and also the orchestra was established in 1923, long before the city was devided. Its West Berlin counterpart of a similar name has long been renamed Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin to avoid confusion. One should try to find another solution. Maybe move this article to Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra and the dab page to Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra (disambiguation)? --FordPrefect42 (talk) 13:21, 29 March 2010 (UTC)
Reichskommissariat
I've got involved at Talk:Reichskommissariat#Realm's Commissionerate of Ukraine over a suitable translation of "Reichskommissariat". Another editor proposes "Realm's Commissionerate" and, for several reasons, I disagree. Knowledgeable input would be highly desirable. Wearily, Folks at 137 (talk) 08:07, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
- I think that should read Talk:Reichskommissariat Ukraine.--Boson (talk) 21:55, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
I have just created (by translation) and twiddled this article on the Battle of Soltau and am running it for a DYK. However I am not an historian and would appreciate any improvements by others whether to content, style, correct historical terms, etc. I would also like an assessment to raise it to at least 'B' status. Can anyone confirm what some sources mean when they claim it was "Die letzte Ritterschlacht" (the last knight's battle)? Most sources give the Battle of Mühldorf in 1322 as the last Ritterschlacht [in Germany without firearms]. --Bermicourt (talk) 14:38, 4 April 2010 (UTC)

I have proposed merging Ashkenazi intelligence to Ashkenazi Jews. Weigh in at, Talk:Ashkenazi intelligence. Also in particular, weigh in on one user's points, Talk:Ashkenazi intelligence#More sociology, less biology!. I thought his line of questioning needed more discussion. ScienceApe (talk) 19:33, 17 April 2010 (UTC)
- Has this anything to do with the WikiProject Germany? I doubt. --Obersachse (talk) 13:03, 18 April 2010 (UTC)
- I think the reasoning becomes clear if you read ScienceApe's comment in that section. But I can't think of anything to contribute along this line, and I agree that this project is unlikely to be of much help in this respect. Hans Adler 09:35, 21 April 2010 (UTC)
Just place tags?
Now that I've created a stub on a german topic, should/could I just place the project tag on top of the talk page like I just did? Regards, --G-41614 (talk) 08:40, 21 April 2010 (UTC) Afterthought - would a bit from this stub about the column from the Tuiléres qualify for DYK? Self-advertising again.
- Yes, I think that would be an excellent DYK hook. Hans Adler 09:37, 21 April 2010 (UTC)
- Re 1st question: You can add project banners to any article if you feel it should be included in the project's scope, just don't assess articles you wrote yourself.
- Re 2nd question: Stubs don't qualify for DYK, you need to remove the stub tag, have the article exceed the 1,500 character limit and make sure you have references included, especially at the end of the sentence(s) you want to include in the hook. See Wikipedia:Did you know#DYK rules.

Help for layout of Portal:North Rhine-Westphalia
Hello - I have created this portal earlier this month (mainly based on Portal:Brussels), but dont know any better on how to get the Portal:North Rhine-Westphalia/Selected panorama/Layout right. So I hope someone here can help. There are two things I have in mind:
- 1) When viewing the portal page on a small screen (e.g. a notebook) the view of the panorama doesnt jump to a scroll bar view (like it does on the Portal:North Rhine-Westphalia/Selected panorama page). So that must be an issue of the main portal page or a combination of it all. Have tried to fix it but dont know. (P:USA has a scroll bar for large panoramas.)
- 2) ideally the panoramas could be cropped top and bottom like the panorama at List of tallest buildings in Frankfurt. For example, Portal:North Rhine-Westphalia/Selected panorama/3 really wants to be cropped on the top to show more down below... I wouldnt mind getting the width non-editable to a standard (at least 1000px) or 100% page width, with the height being fixed at 10% of the width.
Any help would be appreciated. CGN2010 (talk) 00:21, 30 April 2010 (UTC)
- i believe this is done. i could help myself. thanks anyway. CGN2010 (talk) 18:31, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
Move of Wilhelm I to William I
I am proposing moving Wilhelm I, German Emperor to William I, German Emperor as this appears to be the usual naming convention. I am aware this has been discussed before (and it was moved to Wilhelm) but the logic seems more based on personal opinion than actual authoritative sources which, in my experience, follow the usual English naming convention. Please join the discussion at the talk page, but try and base the argument on English sources not personal preference! --Bermicourt (talk) 15:49, 1 May 2010 (UTC)
Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons
The WikiProject Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons (UBLPs) aims to reduce the number of unreferenced biographical articles to under 30,000 by June 1, primarily by enabling WikiProjects to easily identify UBLP articles in their project's scope. There were over 52,000 unreferenced BLPs in January 2010 and this has been reduced to 35,715 as of May 1. A bot is now running daily to compile a list of all articles that are in both Category:All unreferenced BLPs and have been tagged by a WikiProject. Note that the bot does NOT place unreferenced tags or assign articles to projects - this has been done by others previously - it just compiles a list.
Your Project's list can be found at Wikipedia:WikiProject Germany/Unreferenced BLPs. Currently you have approximately 339 articles to be referenced. Other project lists can be found at User:DASHBot/Wikiprojects/Templates and User:DASHBot/Wikiprojects.
Your assistance in reviewing and referencing these articles is greatly appreciated. If you have any questions, please don't hestitate to ask either at WT:URBLP or at my talk page. Thanks, The-Pope (talk) 16:55, 4 May 2010 (UTC)

Requested move - Lüneburg-Celle to Principality of Lüneburg
I have requested the move of Lüneburg-Celle to Principality of Lüneburg and would like informed comment at its talk page. It should be a no brainer because the state is usually called the "Principality of Lüneburg" (or Fürstentum Lüneburg in German), whereas Lüneburg-Celle is a less-than-common shorthand for their rulers who were sometimes called "Duke of Brunswick-Lüneburg-Celle" instead of the correct but long-winded "Duke of Brunswick-Lüneburg and Prince of Lüneburg". Celle was the residence after 1378 and its use in titles avoided the odd-sounding "Duke of Brunswick-Lüneburg-Lüneburg". I have researched this and come to the conclusion that "Lüneburg-Celle" is inaccurate and confusing; when used it rarely refers to the state. And I have yet to come across one reliable example of "Principality of Lüneburg-Celle". --Bermicourt (talk) 12:14, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
The move has been relisted for further discussion. Meanwhile I am expanding the article significantly from de.wiki and hope to run it for a DYK. It would be good to have the right name for the article if it is listed, so please contribute if you can. --Bermicourt (talk) 20:00, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
- The article has now been moved. --Bermicourt (talk) 05:44, 17 June 2010 (UTC)

Germany at the Olympics
Figure_skating_at_the_Olympic_Games#Participating_nations. Why is there 4 categories, Germany, Germany, East Germany, and West Germany. I believe there should only be 3 but can't seem to figure out whether the second Germany belongs in West Germany, East Germany or the Germany above it category. --MATThematical (talk) 01:06, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
- 4 categories is right, because there was a United German Team between 1952-1964, with athlets from both german countrys, East-and West Germany together in one Team. The other 3 are "only" Germany, West Germany and East Germany. Neuwied80 (talk) 11:25, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
- Strangely enough, the Olympics count the German Reich and the post-reunification FRG as the same country, but the United Team as something else. Pre-reunification FRG and post-reunification FRG are viewed as different countries. If you think that this doesn't make any sense, you are right, but it is hard to find some way to describe it that fits into a simple table and makes sense. —Кузьма討論 11:41, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
- No, that is a misunderstanding. Pre-reunification and post-reunification is viewed as the same country. Team West Germany and East Germany was only between the Pre-and postreunification and the "United" German Team was a United Team of west-and east germans, only a couple of years for 4 Olympic Winter and Summergames. Neuwied80 (talk) 16:06, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
- Should the second Germany then be renamed as United Germany or something like that, or do you like it the way it is. --MATThematical (talk) 16:19, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
- Er, the pre-reunification FRG is West Germany, not viewed as the same country as the post-reunification FRG, which is called Germany (like the Reich) in the table. And "United Germany" is a weird name for a joint team of divided Germany. The usual answer to the question what to do here is as to follow reliable sources and do whatever they do, no matter if it makes sense or not. —Кузьма討論 19:09, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
- Nope. Pre-unification FRG is West Germany is Germany; basically East Germany (GDR) did just join Germany, adding it's fife states (Länder) to 11 states of (West) Germany. It's pretty much the same as when Alaska entered the U.S. – there's no need for some pre-unification United States either, is it? The actual federal state of Germany was constituted on May 23, 1949 but some states like Saarland (1957) or the "neue Bundesländer" (1990) joined later. --Matthiasb (talk) 15:09, 19 June 2010 (UTC)
- So does this mean that you think the two Germanys should be merged in the list. If they shouldn't then they shouldn't link to the same page as they do now. --MATThematical (talk) 20:03, 19 June 2010 (UTC)
- Ah, you're talking about reality. I was talking about the fiction used by the people making the medal tables. —Кузьма討論 06:07, 20 June 2010 (UTC)
- That's the "constitutional" argument to merge all those Germanies into one. There's no new Germany after 1990: East Germany's reconstructed states joined the Federal Republic of Germany founded in 1949. - Elysander (talk) 13:14, 20 June 2010 (UTC)

Translate
Hi can somebody translate:
Bad Hindelang is currently linked on the main page and is embarrsingly short.. It was a one liner when I started. PLease can somebody translate the history and improve it. Dr. Blofeld White cat 11:45, 20 June 2010 (UTC)
