Comment on the WikiProject X proposal
Hello there! As you may already know, most WikiProjects here on Wikipedia struggle to stay active after they've been founded. I believe there is a lot of potential for WikiProjects to facilitate collaboration across subject areas, so I have submitted a grant proposal with the Wikimedia Foundation for the "WikiProject X" project. WikiProject X will study what makes WikiProjects succeed in retaining editors and then design a prototype WikiProject system that will recruit contributors to WikiProjects and help them run effectively. Please review the proposal here and leave feedback. If you have any questions, you can ask on the proposal page or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you for your time! (Also, sorry about the posting mistake earlier. If someone already moved my message to the talk page, feel free to remove this posting.) Harej (talk) 22:47, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
Dear food and drink experts: This topic is covered under Food coloring. Is there anything in this old AfC draft that should be used to improve the mainspace article? Or should the regulations have their own article? —Anne Delong (talk) 00:27, 2 October 2014 (UTC)
Images that could be useful to the project!
Time to Dine!
Just finished my first batch the full series of new food porn...er pics. These are all from the Carnival World Buffet at The Rio, Las Vegas Nevada. And...yes it was all very delicious!
--Mark Miller (talk) 09:57, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
- User:Mark Miller: Nice images of a commercial buffet operation. I suppose you didn't bring any leftovers with you, since what happens in Las Vegas stays in Las Vegas. NorthAmerica1000 10:07, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
- I wanna go back to this place again...but not stay at the hotel. That kinda sucked, but the food was better than most on the strip...well except for Guy Fieri's on the strip. That was excellent!
- OK, all Done.--Mark Miller (talk) 22:38, 5 October 2014 (UTC)

WP:VG comments subpages cleanup
Hi, there is currently a discussion taking place at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Video games#VG comments subpages regarding whether it would be acceptable to permanently shift all comments subpages associated with WP:VG articles into talk. This shift would follow the recommended approach given at WP:DCS. The WikiProject Food and drink articles that would be affected by this action are these:
If you have objections related specifically to WikiProject Food and drink's use of these subpages, please make this clear at the discussion so that other unrelated talk pages can be cleaned up where appropriate. Thank you. -Thibbs (talk) 15:55, 16 October 2014 (UTC)

List of commercial fish
I'm thinking of starting a list article that covers common commercial fish, like the ones we see in restaurants and markets. But how? Scope issues? By country? Tonnes caught? Do we have this already? Thoughts? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 04:28, 10 November 2014 (UTC)

Proposed merger of Superfruit into Superfood
I have proposed the merger between two articles in your scope: Superfruit -> Superfood. Discussion is centralized at Talk:Superfood#Proposed_merger_of_Superfruit_into_Superfood. Thanks for your time. 0x0077BE (talk · contrib) 20:48, 14 November 2014 (UTC)

Crowdsourced funding to get pictures of cheese
Hello, I thought I would share something I found. I have no affiliation with this project.
Some Wikipedians in France are asking for funding to buy cheese and have cheese parties. In return, they promise to photograph the cheese and upload pictures to Wikimedia commons. See their project proposal.
I am sharing here because I thought this was an innovative way to get pictures for Wikimedia projects. See the gallery they have started!. Blue Rasberry (talk) 20:47, 24 November 2014 (UTC)

- Could you please elaborate as to what you are stating? This is meaningless without an explanation as to what this posting is about. --Jeremy (blah blah • I did it!) 13:47, 3 December 2014 (UTC)
This is a massively problematic article. The lead basically consisted of listing the traditional Adyghe foods before I got to it. I added a basic lead and tagged it with an "inadequate lead" tag. I could use some help making the language less biased and easier to read. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Crossark (talk • contribs) 16:31, 4 December 2014 (UTC)
- I could also use help cleaning up the series of lists in the article, as well. Crossark (talk) 18:00, 4 December 2014 (UTC)

Kiln- please remove ownership and the tags
Kiln A false positive? Could one of your members either zap the tags, or explain on the talk page why you have an interest in this page. Thanks.-- Clem Rutter (talk) 00:06, 18 December 2014 (UTC)
- I removed {{redirect|Kilns}} from atop the Kiln page because no such disambiguation page exists. NorthAmerica1000 00:54, 18 December 2014 (UTC)
Help with South Beach Diet
Back in August, I posted here requesting assistance with a draft I had prepared for the South Beach Diet. After nearly four months of discussion on the Talk page, I am back with a more narrow request for help with updating the article's introduction. There has been some back and forth about what should be included in the introduction, most notably the term "fad diet", which I believe to be contentious, but is endorsed by another editor. My newest proposed version includes the term, though it is used differently than how it currently appears in the article.
As I mentioned before, I am working on behalf of the South Beach Diet brand to make improvements to the article. Due to this conflict of interest, I am not making any direct edits. I'd appreciate it if editors here could review my latest Talk page note, including the revised introduction, and weigh in with their thoughts.
