This could have been a good candidate, but [Cultural Revolution] carries {cleanup} and [DaZiBao] is a stub.
- 1966 - The first prominent DaZiBao during the Cultural Revolution in China was posted at Peking University.
--PFHLai 19:10, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
Another candidate:
- 1935 - At Forbes Field, Pittsburgh, Babe Ruth hit the last three of his 714 home runs as a member of the Boston Braves.
--PFHLai 08:18, 16 May 2006 (UTC)
Candidate:
- Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope is released in theatres. --Plasma Twa 2 03:35, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
- Not this year. It will be featured on Wikipedia:Today's featured article/May 25, 2007. Zzyzx11 (Talk) 16:39, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
Towel Day
[edit]Could we please add a reference to it? I would do it myself, but I'm not sure it's ok... So better to be safe than sorry :P makeyourself 05:36, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, please do. Volland 07:54, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
- I had added it, but it was removed tonight because of the three-holiday limit and the fact that the article towel day is bad. --User:Krator (t c) 08:24, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
- Awww.... well, I guess I'll go ahead and try to improve it with some pictures and references, and hope it appears next year. (so long and) Thanks (for all the fish)! makeyourself 08:25, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
- Bad news always travels the fastest, I'm afraid. Next year indeed. --User:Krator (t c) 08:32, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
- You might want to address the concerns that have been posted at Talk:Towel Day#Notability too. Thanks. Zzyzx11 (Talk) 18:40, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

May Revolution
[edit]I suggest changing the image for File:Revolución de Mayo.jpg. Being a bicentennial, it's clearly more notable (at least this year) than the one used. MBelgrano (talk) 20:22, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
- It's hard to tell exactly what is going on there when the image is displayed on a thumbnail scale on high-resolution, wide-screen monitors. Otherwise, it looks like a non-descriptive building. Do you have a suggestion as to what to add to the normal (pictured) caption in the text? Zzyzx11 (talk) 20:40, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
- It's a great idea, since its 200 years from the May Revolution, the most important national festivity on Argentina (through not independence per sé), and its comparable to the 4 or July in the United States. However, I believe that in thumbnail size a picture of the Cabildo Abierto, through less descriptive as Zzyzx11, would be better for this template. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 186.136.46.59 (talk) 23:13, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
