As I can't edit the page directly, I'll suggest it here:
- The SMS Bodrog of the Austro-Hungarian Navy fires the first shots of World War I, shelling Serbian defences near Belgrade
Although I've just spotted that the article on the ship says on "on the night of 28 July" and does not specify a time, and July Crisis say 1 a.m. on 29th, so perhaps it belongs with the next day. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.205.251.81 (talk) 07:39, 28 July 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks, I have added it to the 29th. —howcheng {chat} 21:43, 28 July 2018 (UTC)

2024 note: Statehood Day in Ukraine is celebrated on 15 July and not on 28 July anymore
[edit]Can someone move please Statehood Day (Ukraine) to template Wikipedia:Selected anniversaries/July 15 and remove it from here/this Wikipedia:Selected anniversaries/July 28. Statehood Day is a public holiday and day off in Ukraine. It used to be celebrated on 28 July, but since this year it is celebrated on 15 July. This is due to Ukrainian churches now using the Gregorian calendar (the "western calendar") while they previously used the Julian calendar as it was and is still used by the Russian orthodox church. This move of calendar was a response to the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine and is a part of the derusification of Ukraine efforts (since 2022). — Yulia Romero • Talk to me! 13:47, 16 July 2024 (UTC)
