List of people associated with Jesus College, Oxford is now a Featured List, though of course further additions are still encouraged (and always will be). The number of references on that page is just amazing, and a model we should try to emulate elsewhere. Casper Gutman (talk | contributions)

The Oxford College Infobox template's look has recently been updated — thanks to DJR for the idea of using the Durham look and to AulaTPN for enabling colour schemes to be customised for each college! I also added some documentation to the infobox page — please update it as needed! Casper Gutman

Added maps to the infoboxes of all colleges but Templeton and Wolfson (which lie outside the area covered by the map, unfortunately). Similar maps could be included in articles for other locations in central Oxford -- see my sandbox for a way of doing this. Casper Gutman

The article on Jesus made it as a good article. Several other college articles aren't far off meeting the criteria, so why not take on the task of improving and nominating one of them? Discuss your ideas and any progress on the talk page to enlist the help of other project members.... Casper Gutman

I'd be interested to know what people think of the idea of adding maps to articles, showing the locations of colleges, departments etc. See this discussion and some examples of how they could look.
Also, I nominated Jesus as a good article; if it passes I'd say there are a good few other college articles that would take very little effort to get to the same stage (mostly adding references and expanding a few sections). Casper Gutman

Interesting discussion at Talk:Oriel College. The main lesson seems to be that we shouldn't take for granted that people coming to our articles will have any familiarity with the nature of (e.g.) a college at Oxford. As Alf points out, it would be daft to try and fully explain the collegiate nature of the university on every college page, but there needs to be an easy and obvious way for people to find out more near the start of every college article. —Casper Gutman

Added a member userbox to the templates section.
There's also now a page showing the classifications of WikiProject University of Oxford articles. This is updated by a bot every 24 hours. —Casper Gutman

The project's at a very early stage just now. So far, I've added the template to the college and PPH talk pages, to the department pages, to the museums and libraries, and to the professorships. This has automagically added them to the unassessed articles category.
Once all the pages are tagged the next step will be to assess them and identify early targets for improvement. —Casper Gutman
