This month's theme is The Joshua Tree. We hope you enjoy it! New Members The Album The Joshua Tree, U2's fifth studio album, was released on March 9, 1987 to critical acclaim and commercial success. It has often been called U2s best album and their first masterpiece. It was ranked #26 on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. The album won the "Album of the Year" award at the 1988 Grammy Awards. The original Joshua tree on the cover died in 2000. The Joshua Tree is the beginning of U2's exploration of American roots music, that culminated with the release of Rattle and Hum. The singles from this album were "With or Without You", "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For", "Where the Streets Have No Name", "In God's Country", "One Tree Hill", and "Trip Through Your Wires".
