An introduction to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines
We have designed this module primarily for Campus Ambassadors who are either new to Wikipedia or have limited exposure to the Wikipedia community. This module will provide a basic overview of Wikipedia’s core policies and guidelines.
When you finish, you should be able to answer:
- What are Wikipedia's core policies and guidelines?
- What are copyright and plagiarism on Wikipedia?
- How are copyright and plagiarism handled?
If you already have a firm grasp of Wikipedia's core policies, you can skip ahead:
- Module 3: Editing basics (including information on training students)
- Module 4: Wikipedia in the classroom.
