Welcome to WikiProject Somerset. Some Wikipedians have formed this collaboration resource and group dedicated to improving Wikipedia's coverage of Somerset and the organization of information and articles on this topic. This page and its subpages contain their suggestions and various resources; it is hoped that this project will help to focus the efforts of other Wikipedians interested in the topic. Goals

- Get Somerset up to featured article. Done
- Create articles on all important sub-divisions and places of interest in Somerset.
- Maintain Portal:Somerset
- Add basic data such as population, maps and coordinates to all sub-divisions of Somerset.
- Add at least one photograph to every sub-division and place of interest in Somerset.
- Possibly create an infobox for places of interest with maps, visitor numbers etc.
- Make History of Somerset, Done Geology of Somerset Done etc. good, and ultimately featured articles.
Scope
[edit]- To cover all topics related to the historical county of Somerset, England, which may include, but is not restricted to towns, villages and geography of the county. People and organisations from Somerset. Local culture, economy history etc.
It is not intended to include people with only a loose connection e.g. alumni of local universities or those who played for local sports teams.
