Book of G'Quan from Babylon 5

Good day I recently started watching "Babylon 5" again and I liked the sequences with G'Kar and Londo. G'Kar has a holy book, which means everything to him and which is the basis of his faith, the "Book of G'Quan". I was curious if the Book of G'Quan is based on a real-life holy book. Babylon 5, that's a name I haven't heard in many years. I don't remember much specific details about the Narn faith itself, but the belief that copies of G'Quan's book must be written in the Narn's native tongue and completely replicated by hand down to the damage and imperfections of the pages, or else be considered heretical, to me is extremely similar to how replicas of the Torah must be published. The Forest Temple from "The Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time"

The exterior resembles typical Greco-Roman architecture of the 1st century AD. It looks to me like they're going for something like the Al-Khazneh at Petra, but in a much simplified way. Hard to say, though, as it doesn't resemble any specific Greco-Roman facade, while at the same time common conventions of the style. The way that the trees and side walls encroach on the facade made me think of Petra at first, but that's not that close even to the exact design. --Jayron 32 18:27, 25 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
