- History and features of smartphones → Smartphone (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
Though this redirect has a bit of an WP:XY issue with "history" and "features" being mentioned in the redirect, the target does have a "History" section, but defining "features" in the target article is a bit vague since there seems to be no clear place to target any mention of "features". If "history" and "features" were part of two separate redirects, I could see them both being plausible even with the aforementioned issues, but since they are together in one redirect, I don't see it helpful or plausible. I think that the article is missing a reference to the device SAGEM WA3050 which was released in Nov 2000 and was the first device where Windows included a version for mobile. Unsure if this redirect should remain targeting its current target, be retargeted to Telecommunication, or be deleted. One of these would probably be the most helpful for our readers, but I'm not sure which. Steel1943 (talk) 20:34, 24 August 2020 (UTC)

No article on the band or its members. All redirect to the Into the Abyss disambiguation page. Band has a couple tracks on the record label compilation album Gothic Rock Volume 2: 80's into 90's, but offers no info about the band and no mention of the others. StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 18:54, 24 August 2020 (UTC)
- Delete all. WP:SELFREDs are a nuisance at the best of times, but as a DABfixer I say that on DAB pages they're a real pest. No-one following any of these links will find any useful info. If the band is notable (though I suspect it isn't), the redirect fools readers into thinking that an article exists when it doesn't. It isn't even as if there's an article to restore and take to WP:AFD. Narky Blert (talk) 05:57, 25 August 2020 (UTC)

This redirect is not mentioned in that article. Seventyfiveyears at 17:51, 24 August 2020 (UTC)
DeleteApparently it could either be an alternative spelling of the Bhutanese name Yeshey or the Hebrew name Yishai. (Jesse aka Yishai was the father of the biblical king David, and the base title David got hijacked for a name article at one point, which is probably how this ended up pointing to David (name).) I don't think the Bhutanese and Hebrew names are related, we do not have articles about either name (Jesse (given name) doesn't really cover the name Yishai), and as far as I can see from Google Books Jesse father of David is only very infrequently spelled this way, so I think search results are better than retargeting to Jesse. Alternatively,we could create Yeshey as a WP:APO index given that we actually have lots of articles about people by that spelling, and thendisambiguate Yeshay. 59.149.124.29 (talk) 06:33, 26 August 2020 (UTC)- Comment I expanded Yeshe (an article about the Tibetan term) so it now has references for the various alternative spellings of that term, including Yeshay and Yeshey. I now think we should mention Yeshay as an alternative spelling of the Hebrew name at some relevant article, and then disambiguate this for Yeshe and that article, so I struck some portions of my comment above to reflect that. 59.149.124.29 (talk) 03:51, 27 August 2020 (UTC)
- Comment 2 I have drafted a disambiguation page under the redirect, and a WP:APO index for the Hebrew name at Draft:Yishai (name), which mentions (with a source) that Yeshay is a variant spelling of that name. 59.149.124.29 (talk) 04:40, 30 August 2020 (UTC)

- Yellowstone Park Railroad → Rail transport (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: keep/retarget/delete ]
Blanked by User:2Q and restored by me, but I'm not seeing the usefulness of this redirect with its current target. This is linked to from List of Idaho railroads and List of Montana railroads, and mentioned on Belfry, Montana and Ashton, Idaho. Appears to be distinct from White Sulphur Springs and Yellowstone Park Railway, as both entries are on the Montana list. Ost (talk) 16:52, 24 August 2020 (UTC)
- Delete to encourage article creation. Not mentioned in the current target and no good alternative. It's quite difficult to think of a circumstance in which a documented railroad wouldn't be notable. Narky Blert (talk) 06:05, 25 August 2020 (UTC)

- Convert to a disambiguation page or redirect to somewhere else. First option is my first choice. Howard the Duck (talk) 16:39, 17 August 2020 (UTC)
- The only other use I can find is Altaş, Ardahan, others are partial titles and wouldn't be included in a disambiguation page just as High doesn't list place names such as High Wycombe. Peter James (talk) 17:19, 17 August 2020 (UTC)
Please add new comments below this notice. Thanks, signed, Rosguill talk 16:49, 24 August 2020 (UTC)
- Disambiguation is certainly viable: the current target can apparently be referred to as just "Altas", and there's the Turkish village that's spelt the same way barring the diacritic. As already pointed out, the term is found as a component in a number of place names, but they are all partial titles, and can be reached either through the search (if the redirect is deleted) or via an {{in title}} link from the dab page. I've drafted one below the redirect. – Uanfala (talk) 18:25, 24 August 2020 (UTC)
- Disambiguate per Uanfala. A good WP:TWODABS page. It should be linked from DAB page Alta; a natural assumption in English is that presence/absence of terminal 's' means plural/singular. Narky Blert (talk) 06:14, 25 August 2020 (UTC)

- Copied from my Talk page: "Hi, I nominated Pakistan Zindabad (song) to be deleted because this redirect is confusing. I moved the anthem page from this title because there are many Pakistan Zindabad songs while this one was an anthem to a former wing of the country. I want you to reconsider your vote of keep since this redirect still is confusing because there are various Pakistan Zindabad songs made in recent years so someone searching for those songs will be redirected to anthem page. - Comment I got curious since the redirect was made in December 2003 and the rootkit article at the time was barely one. It wasn't until the article expanded around 2005 where you see it referenced - one revision from October 2005. Then, the article got improved and the examples weren't listed unless they were notable. - Weak retarget to David Wallace (The Office). This minor character has a several-seasons-long plot arc where he is fired from the titular company, creates a device called the "Suck It" (stylized different ways throughout the series), sells it to the U.S. military, and uses the proceeds to purchase the company. If there's nothing else to target to then that's a valid option. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 18:39, 19 August 2020 (UTC)

- This redirect formerly pointed to Volkswagen I.D., which was an article [1] but now another redirect to Volkswagen ID.3. If the separate article for concept car "ID." - On second thoughts, there probably should be a redirect from Volkswagen I.D. to the section in Volkswagen ID.3 discussing the concept car, which can then be linked to from Volkswagen I.D. series and wherever else (currently liked from the series article under a different name which is a bit confusing).
