Welcome to WikiProject Robotics. Some Wikipedians have formed this collaboration resource and group dedicated to improving Wikipedia's coverage of Robotics and the organization of information and articles on this topic. This page and its subpages contain their suggestions and various resources; it is hoped that this project will help focus the efforts of other Wikipedians interested in the topic. If you would like to help, please join the project, inquire on the viws page and see the to-do list below.

Goals
[edit]- To improve Wikipedia articles related to robotics development, technology, research, and other related areas
- To refine and maintain the navigation subsystems for browsing robotics. See Outline of robotics and Category:Robotics.
- To keep this project active and constantly improving
- To upgrade a majority of robotics-related articles to B-Class and above, and eventually push articles into WP:FA and WP:GA
- To promote an active Wikipedia community of robotics users
- To update all outdated information regarding robotics and to promote active collaboration through various sub-projects
- To give recognition to and to promote robotics related activities such as workshops and competitions held anywhere in the world.
Scope
[edit]- Coverage of robotics from AUVs to MARS rovers, Robby to ASIMO, and nanorobotics to the SLS
- Coverage of popular robots
- Coverage of the current state of development, research, and software for robots of any kind: prototypes, hobbyist and educational projects, and robots used by consumers, industries and governments
- Biographies of living persons related to robotics development will be placed in this WikiProject on a case-by-case basis
