Where is the issue taking place?
Pioneer Courthouse Square
Who's involved?
User:Makaristos, User:Pioneercourthouse, User:70.58.51.131
What's going on?
User:Pioneercourthouse and User:70.58.51.131 keeps inserting controversial material into the article. This material also violates a number of guidelines, namely WP:NPOV, WP:WEASEL, WP:NOT, and WP:OR. I have to assume that the two editors above are actually the same person because of the content of the reverted material and the fact that the username suddenly appeared when the threat of semi-protection was made to the page, so this may be a violation of WP:SOCK as well. Reversion of this material is fruitless because it is perpetually simply re-inserted without regard to WP:3RR or any sort of attempt at constructive dialogue.
What would you like to change about that?
Open a dialogue with this editor, and perhaps get him/her to realize that the material being inserted is inappropriate to Wikipedia. I am sick and tired of dealing with it myself, and the help pages and procedures are complicated and incomprehensible in points.
Would you prefer we work discreetly? If so, how can we reach you?
No.

Mediator response

[edit]

I've reviewed the edits and would be willing to help out, if the IP is. The goal of mediation is to come up with a solution, my goal in this case is to come up with a version that both parties are happy with. I will contact all parties involved, and I'd ask that everyone state the text they'd like added, and why. The user is blocked, and the ip hasn't edited for a while, so there might not be a response.

Is this case still active or can I close it? --Ideogram 01:26, 27 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion

[edit]

While using the talk page of the article in question to solve a dispute is encouraged to involve a larger audience, feel free to discuss the case below if that is not possible. Other mediators are also encouraged to join in on the discussion as Wikipedia is based on consensus.

The offending bit of text was again added by User:Pioneeramerica, making me strongly suspect some violations of WP:SOCK as well as everything else going on here. --Makaristos 18:12, 7 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
