Blue Barette Bam, or BBB, is a user who repeatedly attacks and harasses editors with disruptive edit summaries, and edits by posting grossly offensive content and/or personal information of admins/editors in their edits/edit summaries.
As of April 2020, BBB was blocked indefinitely from editing the English Wikipedia, and subsequently globally locked and banned by WMF Trust and Safety as of 2024. Despite this, they continue to use multiple accounts and IP addresses to further disrupt Wikipedia.
BBB has also created socks impersonating users that revert their edits. These accounts often try to get those reverting users blocked for socking.
Targeted areas, pages, themes
- They target various articles (mostly those linked on the Main Page), the Administrators' noticeboard, and/or the talk pages of editors.
- Starting in December 2023, pages related to Christmas have been targets.
- Starting from December 2023, they have repeatedly vandalized the articles of Depersonalization and Derealization.
Habitual behavior
- They vandalize articles by posting offensive, transphobic, and/or racist content that may need to be revision deleted or suppressed.
- They claim that they don't know who they are, are just watching their "hands" or "fingers" vandalize, and that they have no control over these body parts and their body.
- If their edit gets reverted, they will manually revert, and attack other editors using offensive edit summaries.
- They may post personal information of other editors/administrators in their edits, summaries, or both, which requires suppression of said edits or summaries.
- They replace sections with words related to the Grinch on pages related to Christmas or others. (example)
- They admitted to using IPSharkk to evade blocks (see this edit to RFPP). Most of BBB's IP's geolocate to Morocco or Egypt, but can occasionally be geolocated to other countries such as Nepal and the United States (See IP here).

Pages related to holidays such as Halloween and Valentines Day should be closely monitored near or at their seasons, as BBB has admitted that they target these pages seasonally. In addition to this, pages related to recent deaths or disasters should also be monitored as well.
