[edit]Lillian Axe
[edit]Do you know why the studio albums for Lillian Axe are mistakenly at the bottom of the article? --Jax 0677 (talk) 01:47, 27 July 2020 (UTC)
- Because Gooup accidentally deleted a vital "|" on 23 July. Now fixed. -- Hoary (talk) 02:41, 27 July 2020 (UTC)

Our business name is incorrect
[edit]Hello,
Our Wiki listing is incorrect here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_High_Ground
The business name should be one word, "The Highground" not two. I believe the board of directors made the decision to change it several years ago (before my time).
Please let me know what I need to do to get it updated.
Thanks!
HGmktg (talk) 04:29, 27 July 2020 (UTC)
- @HGmktg: Please make this suggested change to The High Ground on its talk page at The High Ground please provide a link to a reliable published source (WP:RS). A few additional issues: Please change your user name or simply abandon it and use a new one. Your user name must be for an individual, not a group. see WP:USERNAME. With you new user name, please declare your conflict of interest: see WP:COI. COI isn't a problem, it's just a fact. Due to the COI, please refrain from editing the article directly. Instead, make suggested changes on the talk page. Thanks for your volunteer efforts and sorry about the procedural hassles, but this part of how we try to build a great encyclopedia. -Arch dude (talk) 04:59, 27 July 2020 (UTC)
Help needed for automatic archiving and personalizing user page
[edit]Hi all. It's my first time asking help in English Wiki. Please, if you can, help me figure out how to do these:
- 1-I would like to have this page, i.e. my talk page, to be archived the way my Persian talk page is. Could you do that for me? I tried reading the how to article, and tried inserting the archive template, but it failed and didn't work.
- 2- I would like to have standard user page, like the one that I have in Persian wiki main page, but I can't seem to find a "standard template" to add it to my user page. I also want to use calligraphic English there, but don't know how. Could you please guide me for this, too?
Thanks,Poorya0014 (talk) 06:04, 27 July 2020 (UTC)
- To answer your question 1, the archive configuration which you set includes the parameter
| minthreadsleft = 4
. You currently have 4 threads on your user talk page, and the bot will start to archive when there are more than 4 threads. --David Biddulph (talk) 08:19, 27 July 2020 (UTC)
- Hello, Poorya0014. I'll have a stab at your question 2, though I don't know the answers. I don't believe there are standard templates for userpages, but I might be wrong. The User page design center doesn't seem to be active any more, but if you look there, you might find some useful templates or models. I'm not sure what you mean by "calligraphic English": if you mean a font that resembles handwriting, then have a look at List of script typefaces. --ColinFine (talk) 08:55, 27 July 2020 (UTC)
Contributing a page to Wikipedia
[edit]I have created a page in my Sandbox and want to publish and upload this into Wikipedia, how do i do that ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tony-yeoh (talk • contribs) 08:39, 27 July 2020 (UTC)
- Your sandbox is obviously not currently fit to become a mainspace article, as it has no references. Please read about notability, and the advice at WP:Your first article. --David Biddulph (talk) 08:52, 27 July 2020 (UTC)
How can you say that Sushant Singh Rajput did suicide
[edit]How can you say that Sushant Singh Rajput did suicide
Please remove this type of content As Soon As possible
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sushant_Singh_Rajput — Preceding unsigned comment added by Amarbhanu (talk • contribs) 10:20, 27 July 2020 (UTC)
- Amarbhanu Wikipedia summarizes what independent reliable sources say about article subjects. Those sources currently seem to be saying that Mr. Rajput committed suicide. If you have independent reliable sources that say something different, please offer them on the article talk page, Talk:Sushant Singh Rajput. 331dot (talk) 10:24, 27 July 2020 (UTC)

How to upload my photo
[edit]Tshego Dlamini — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tshego Dlamini (talk • contribs) 10:31, 27 July 2020 (UTC)
- Tshego Dlamini You can upload a photo following the instructions at WP:UPIMAGE; however, you will need to make sure that you have the rights to the photo. Typically the photographer has them, not the person depicted in the photo. I would suggest that you take a selfie(photo of yourself) to upload. 331dot (talk) 10:41, 27 July 2020 (UTC)
- Also please be aware that your user page is not article space, but a place for you to tell the Wikipedia community about yourself in the context of your Wikipedia use. It is not a place for you to tell anything and everything about yourself. If you are attempting to write an autobiographical article, this is strongly discouraged on Wikipedia, as people naturally write favorably about themselves. Wikipedia is not social media for people to tell the world about themselves. In order for you to succeed in writing about yourself, you need to essentially forget everything you know about yourself, and only write based on the content of independent reliable sources that have chosen to give you significant coverage, showing how you meet the special Wikipedia definition of a notable person. If you truly feel that you can do that- even though we advise against it- you may use Articles for Creation to create and submit a draft for review by an independent editor. Be advised that very few people succeed at doing so. 331dot (talk) 10:41, 27 July 2020 (UTC)
Change my stage name on WIKI
[edit]Hello-
This is Isabella Crovetti and my mom Denise Crovetti. We have been trying to change my stage name on WIKI for a while now. You have me listed as Isabella Cramp which is my birth name but I have been going by my stage name Isabella Crovetti for about 8 years now. I am fine , like Lady Gaga has on her page listing her birth name, but in the search engine and also for the top of the page I am trying to change it to Crovetti.
Please see the below URL my official facebook page, IMDB and press I am crovetti. We have so many articles and press that I am Crovetti here are just a few. Can you please change this for us?

- Denisecrovetti Hello; only one of you can be operating your account- in this case, only Denise should be sitting at the keyboard. You should make a formal edit request(click those words for instructions) on Talk:Isabella Cramp to propose this change. Please also review conflict of interest. 331dot (talk) 14:59, 27 July 2020 (UTC)
Is the term "Jew" really necessary in an article?
[edit]In an article about Richard H. Geoghegan, there is a passage that goes, "an English translation by the Warsaw Jew J. St. (pseudonym of Julian Steinhaus)." The qualifier "Jew" is both unnecessary and offensive. Please remove. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.245.79.48 (talk) 17:57, 27 July 2020 (UTC)

Possible conflict of interest / violation of T&C
[edit]Hi!
I just noticed that this wiki page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gorjan_Jovanovski has been created by the same person that the page is describing (user Gjovanovski). As far as I know this is a clear conflict of interest (starting an international wiki page about yourself).
Are pages like this allowed?
Cheers — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.205.227.86 (talk) 18:49, 27 July 2020 (UTC)
- Please see the autobiography policy. Autobiographical articles are not forbidden, but they are discouraged. It is rare for someone to successfully create an autobiographical article in the style and manner required by Wikipedia, but it does happen. The one you mention has been edited by others since it was created, so it's likely not in bad shape. 331dot (talk) 18:56, 27 July 2020 (UTC)
Cecile D. Singer
[edit]A listing of my service in the New York State Legislature states thatI served for two terms ... I served for three terms from 1988 to 1995(88-90,90-92 ,92-94) I was elected in 1988 and served until 1994. The error may be that because of reapportionment the Assembly District I served was changed for the 1992 election... which caused some confusion. Your assistance in rectifying this error would be appreciated . Cecile D. Singer — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.189.84.133 (talk) 19:03, 27 July 2020 (UTC)
- Where does it say two terms? If you refer to the table at the bottom of Cecile D. Singer then the two rows do not represent terms but districts. Compare to J. Gary Pretlow which only has three table rows for 1993–present. Your first row says 84th District 1989–1992, meaning you served in that district in that period. The table doesn't say how many terms it was but the article mentions three terms in total. The first term started 1 January 1989 so the table says 1989. PrimeHunter (talk) 19:19, 27 July 2020 (UTC)
- It looks right to me too. The table aside, the main text includes from 1989 to 1994, sitting in the 188th, 189th and 190th New York State Legislatures." NewsAndEventsGuy (talk) 09:29, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
Max Strub
[edit]How to present this page for at least a DYK nominations or possibly more? It's a Good article in the German wikipedia. The proceedins are too complex to understand for a non native English speaker. Thanks. LouisAlain (talk) 20:29, 27 July 2020 (UTC)
- Wikipedia:Did_you_know#Eligibility_criteria Here are the eligibility criteria for DYK. As it happens, I'm a native English speaker; but I remember trying to read about DYK eligibility and application two or three times but each time giving up out of boredom or perhaps just dozing off. So I sympathize with your unenthusiasm for nominating it yourself. Well, do you want it nominated? If you do, then nominate it. The possibility that somebody else will is slim -- not because there's anything much wrong with it but because people generally nominate their own stuff. Incidentally, promising though it is, it clearly needs more work. I'll quote one part: "Max Strub war als Solist und Kammermuiker an zahlreichen Aufnahmen beteiligt. Aufgrund der 80-prozentigen Zerstörung[152] der Electrola-Gebäude in Berlin am Ende des Zweiten Weltkrieges ist es indes schwer, die vollständige Diskographie des Geigers zu rekonstruieren.[153] Eine Liste von Einspielungen ist ungeachtet dessen beim britischen AHRC (Research Centre for the History and Analysis of Recorded Music) (CHARM) hinterlegt.[154]" Alternatively, don't bother with DYK and instead go for "Good Article"; but this will require more work. -- Hoary (talk) 22:11, 27 July 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks for your answer and vigilance. I've finished the untranslated part and will blue the (many) red links in the coming weeks. LouisAlain (talk) 09:14, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
Redirecting talk page with comments
[edit]I was fixing an issue on Rachel Agnew which, since 2009, has only been a redirect to Loose Women and realized that Talk:Rachel Agnew did not redirect to Talk:Loose Women. Should it redirect? and if so, what happens to the two comments on the page? Do they get left there, after the redirect tag/link, or do they get moved to LW's talk page in the chronological place? Or should something else occur, like the RA talk page gets deleted? Unsure which actions I should proceed with, if any. Thanks. Zinnober9 (talk) 21:58, 27 July 2020 (UTC)
- @Zinnober9: Hello, no, the talk page does not need to redirect. In *theory* there is a page for Agnew even if it is a redirect; so a TP should exist. It should have a WikiProject banner which I have now added. Eagleash (talk) 22:14, 27 July 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you for the reply and the actions taken! Zinnober9 (talk) 01:14, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
