[edit]Sorry - but I stuffed up ref number 2 by pushing "send" before doing the date or publishers etc. Please leave in the quote as it helps. ThanksSrbernadette (talk) 00:56, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
- @Srbernadette: Fixed. Anon126 (notify me of responses! / talk / contribs) 01:55, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
- There are still red words in this ref (number 2) - please have a look at it. Thankyou.Srbernadette (talk) 03:28, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
- Sorry, my mistake. I've fixed it now. Anon126 (notify me of responses! / talk / contribs) 03:39, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
Russia Disqualified by decision of the IAAF Council for 8 years?
[edit]For Template talk:National members of the International Association of Athletics Federations, why?

- I've replied there, & reverted the unsourced edit by 94.19.172.112 from April. --David Biddulph (talk) 12:33, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
Someone with more smarts or tools than I may like to see if they can figure this one out. It's got a prior G5 from all the way back in 2012, but no indication of where the connection was. Might be entirely unrelated. Can't really tell. TimothyJosephWood 14:08, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
- @Timothyjosephwood: The former article appears to have been about a different person—a military figure rather than an actor, with a different birth date (although, oddly, both people are from Kochi, Kerala). Deor (talk) 20:16, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
- Much appreciated. TimothyJosephWood 20:31, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
Updating company page
[edit]Hello, after reviewing out company's page there is some incorrect data presented. I have a rewrite for the page with links to articles for citation and was wondering if an Editor would mind reviewing and adding to the page for us.
TaylorRate (talk) 15:32, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
- The place to suggest amendments is the article talk page (Talk:Guaranteed Rate), and you'll need to include details of the published reliable sources independent of the subject to support the proposed changes. --David Biddulph (talk) 15:54, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
Listing subpages in WP
[edit]How can one list all subpages of a page in the Wikipedia namespace? In my immediate situation, the page in question is itself a subpage, if that matters. ―Mandruss ☎ 15:51, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
- You can use the "prefix" parameter in a search. For example, using "prefix:Wikipedia:Help desk/Archives/" as your search object will find all subpages of Wikipedia:Help desk/Archives. --David Biddulph (talk) 16:02, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
- Thank you! ―Mandruss ☎ 16:50, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
- If you don't have to combine it with searching the pages then you can also use Special:PrefixIndex like Special:PrefixIndex/Wikipedia:Help desk/Archives. PrimeHunter (talk) 18:59, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
- Thank you! ―Mandruss ☎ 16:50, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks also, that's more concise. ―Mandruss ☎ 19:34, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
2018 Major League Baseball season
[edit]Can you Move the 2018 Major Baseball Season Article from the draft to the main article space please I would except it. 2600:8803:7A00:976A:48F1:1127:EECF:8254 (talk) 16:10, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
- If you wish to submit the draft Draft:2018 Major League Baseball season for review, you can add
{{subst:submit}}
to the top of it. --David Biddulph (talk) 16:20, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
- I would expect, however, that if it were submitted for review in its current state it would be declined, as it is almost entirely unsourced. --David Biddulph (talk) 16:25, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
- I've corrected a small typo in the sample "submit" coding. -- John of Reading (talk) 17:30, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
Editing
[edit]On Friday I edited the entire page for my organization - Parker Adventist Hospital. I just checked back in today and ALL changes have converted back to what was originally on the page before I had edited it - most of which is irrelevant information that has nothing to do with the hospital itself. Please advise how I get these back. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ctalmadge1 (talk • contribs) 17:08, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
- @Ctalmadge1: Because you have a conflict of interest with the subject, you should not edit the article. You can place edit requests on the article's talk page (probably Talk:Parker Adventist Hospital). See WP:Conflict of interest for more information. Ian.thomson (talk) 17:19, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
ARB Template Link?
[edit]Since the Arbitration Committee has permitted Wikipedia administrators to impose discretionary sanctions on any editor editing this page or associated pages (Notice via https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Global_warming)... I want to add a ARB notification notice to a user talk page, to notify him of above, where can I get this template? Thanks prokaryotes (talk) 17:45, 28 August 2017 (UTC)

Assitance needed in aligning barnstars
[edit]I am seeking to align the two barnstars on my userpage horizontally from left to right. I seem to be having difficulty doing this. Currently there is a huge gap between the two. Is there are template that could help me correctly align these barnstars. I'd request to be excused if I'm posting this on the wrong page and also request to be directed to the right page. Any assistance is appreciated.--NadirAli نادر علی (talk) 19:40, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
- NadirAli I've attempted this using
{{multiple image}}
as you will now see on your user page. Feel free to tweak or revert altogether if this is not the effect you wanted: Noyster (talk), 10:10, 29 August 2017 (UTC)- Thank you very much User:Noyster, very much appreciated. I did a few edits in the size. I will study the template you provided. Feel free to ask me for any assistance when you need. I will be happy to help if I can.--NadirAli نادر علی (talk) 18:34, 29 August 2017 (UTC)
Diane Kochilas Draft
[edit]Hi Wikipedia, I recently made a Draft article for "Diane Kochilas." After posting it to be reviewed, I noticed that it said the following in red at the top of the article: "This template should be substituted on the article talk page" I moved the page to the "Talk" section thinking that's what it meant, but it is still there. I was hoping oyu could further direct me on this and let me know when my article may be peer reviewed.
Thank you. Patksapr (talk) 20:25, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
- I just removed it. Ruslik_Zero 20:34, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
Thank you for the help. Can you tell me how long it might take for the page to be moved to public? Patksapr (talk) 15:26, 29 August 2017 (UTC)
- Diane Kochilas is back into article space. I reverted your erroneous move to Talk namespace yesterday. --David Biddulph (talk) 15:59, 29 August 2017 (UTC)

mevn.net
[edit]Dear editors:
THIS appears to be a Wikipedia article, but it has advertising on it and a different URL. What is it exactly?—Anne Delong (talk) 21:22, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
- As its URL shows, it's a page at mevn.net, a Vietnamese (I think) web site that carries advertising and copies article from Wikipedia. Maproom (talk) 21:28, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
- It's a live mirror. I have listed it at meta:Live mirrors. PrimeHunter (talk) 22:20, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks, Maproom and PrimeHunter. I didn't realize that mirror sites were allowed to use Wikipedia's trademarks and site design as well as the content of the articles.—Anne Delong (talk) 22:53, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
- They are not allowed to use the logo or claim to be Wikipedia itself. Live mirrors often do this simply because they mirror whatever is at Wikipedia, including the name and logo. PrimeHunter (talk) 23:18, 28 August 2017 (UTC)

Colour of links and citations.
[edit]I am re-drafting an article where hyperlinks and citations from previous edits are blue (as I would expect). However, any new links and citations I've added are black. Should they be blue?
Many thanks in advance.
Rob Bolton (talk) 21:55, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
- @Rob Bolton: Please give an example. I see many blue links you added to Draft:Jonno Davies. PrimeHunter (talk) 22:25, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
- Are you sure that they're not dark blue, rather than black? Dark blue is the default colour for links which you've recently visited, see Help:Link color. --David Biddulph (talk) 22:28, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
Thanks folks. Yes, what an idiot I am. They are indeed dark blue and I've now clicked on some of the older links and they are now dark blue as you suggested. All pretty obvious really. Apologies for my ineptitude.
