- Hello, AbhishekGoyal12. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and discourages people from writing about subjects they have a close affiliation with (such as one's company) because of the conflict of interest that ensues. If your company is notable, someone, someday will probably write an article about it. It's best from the point of view of the encyclopedia and its commitment to a neutral point of view if that someone is not affiliated with the subject of the article. Please keep in mind that we are not a platform for promoting your company. Finnusertop (talk | guestbook | contribs) 08:10, 11 December 2015 (UTC)
About My Unique Name
[edit]Hello My name is American Chauhan My name is unique I want to popular my name So,please help me — Preceding unsigned comment added by American Chauhan (talk • contribs) 11:43, 11 December 2015 (UTC)
- Hello, American. I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "popular" your name, but I'm pretty sure that it's not something that Wikipedia cannot help you with. Wikipedia is not about popularising anything: it's about summarising what reliable sources have already published about a subject. --ColinFine (talk) 12:01, 11 December 2015 (UTC)

Editing Gigi Hadid Page
[edit]Hello Help Desk,
I work for Gigi Hadid and we are trying to change the photo on her wikipedia page because it's a little dated. I can't change the picture because the page is semi-protected and I don't have the credentials to change the photo. I am basically trying to get in contact with someone that can help change the photo.
THANKS! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Drewkilman (talk • contribs) 16:44, 11 December 2015 (UTC)
- There are many people here who could help you. Here are the first questions we must ask: where is the photo you want to use instead? What is its copyright status? Maproom (talk) 19:52, 11 December 2015 (UTC)
COI on page maryam hashemi
[edit]Hi I made edit to my Wikipedia page and resulted in it being deleted I was not fully familiar with the guidelines and also whole an editor was editing my page I was also adding and chaning content and I thought it was because of error on my tablet and kept changing the details back.
I had no idea that what I was doing Would cause the Page to be deleted, the page has been useful for many people how can I restore the page ,I understand that pages with COI can not be restored, I'm a bit confused about the guidlines and i thought updating the page would be benificia, as the information was out of date, I didnt understand tre quest edit fully and I though if I follow the guidlines of the editor it would be fine, the editor had mentioned the references and some formatting which I changed . — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mahashemi (talk • contribs) 17:13, 11 December 2015 (UTC)
- See the discussion at the conflict of interest noticeboard. The article was deleted as promotional. It had been deleted once before following a deletion discussion. Robert McClenon (talk) 20:02, 11 December 2015 (UTC)
Kuiper belt
[edit]Add graphics that label planet orbits to show scale of Kuiper Belt. Only the inner dimension of the belt is made clear now. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.231.220.102 (talk) 18:14, 11 December 2015 (UTC)

Funny issue with categories
[edit]I recently created Category:NAIA football navigational boxes, but I don't see it in either of its two parent categories Category:American college football navigational boxes and Category:NAIA football. Have others had this sort of issue? Any idea what's going on? Jweiss11 (talk) 18:31, 11 December 2015 (UTC)
- @Jweiss11: I can see it in both categories; have you tried restarting the device you're using? --Rubbish computer (HALP!: I dropped the bass?) 20:24, 11 December 2015 (UTC)
- It was also missing on both category pages for me. A null edit of Category:NAIA football navigational boxes fixed it. PrimeHunter (talk) 20:39, 11 December 2015 (UTC)
- PrimeHunter, thanks for making the fix. Jweiss11 (talk) 06:29, 12 December 2015 (UTC)

CSD Clarification Request
[edit]I would like to request a clarification of the policy on a particular situation as to whether and how speedy deletion is in order. A corporate account is created (account whose name is the name of the corporation). The corporate account then creates a draft article that is promotional. The corporate account is then reported to the user names noticeboard, and is blocked. My questions are whether either G5 or G11 applies to the article. My interpretation is that G5 does not apply, because the page was created before the block or ban. That is, I interpret G5 as applying only to pages created by sockpuppetry (or in violation of a topic-ban by an editor who is not site-banned). My interpretation is that G11 does apply if the article is blatantly promotional and is not likely to be salvaged into an article about a notable company. Comments? Robert McClenon (talk) 19:59, 11 December 2015 (UTC)
- @Robert McClenon: G5 only applies if a blocked user is using sockpuppet to create the article- if you create something and then get blocked, it isn't a G5. Although G11 for spam is probably appropriate. Joseph2302 (talk) 23:34, 11 December 2015 (UTC)
Please rewrite the definition of Messianic Judaism
[edit]Please rewrite the definition for Messianic Judaism. There are different views on salvation as there are different denominations within this one. Many if not all believe that ALL Jews are saved ad promised in the books of the prophets. Failing to receive Yeshua doesnt make this promise go away. The common element in these denominations is following the jewish way of life, belief in Yeshua & making welcome jewish people in mixed marriages who have not received Yeshua but are still saved acvordung to the prophets. IMJA and other organizations can help write a better definition. As currently written it is incorrect on important issues of salvation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.87.116.138 (talk) 21:52, 11 December 2015 (UTC)
- There are six references for the statement to which you object. Can you provide us with just one good reference that says something different? Dbfirs 22:00, 11 December 2015 (UTC)
- The best place to discuss the content of a particular article is on that article's talk page. --ColinFine (talk) 14:38, 12 December 2015 (UTC)
Citation error
[edit]With respect to an article I just created, Facebook privacy and copyright hoaxes, I was hoping someone could fix the error that is causing an error message to display for citation 1, apparently b/c of an invisible character. Everymorning (talk) 22:01, 11 December 2015 (UTC)
- Sorry, I tried a couple things. I'm not sure what's wrong there. I'll try to remember to check back here because now I'm curious what the fix is. Dismas|(talk) 23:15, 11 December 2015 (UTC)
- I fixed it by deleting an invisible character immediately after the = in Title= —teb728 t c 23:18, 11 December 2015 (UTC)
- Pretty much where the error message said it was ...

- @Teb728 and Trappist the monk: The first thing I tried was re-typing the title. Using a standard keyboard. And Trappist, thanks for the snark. Dismas|(talk) 13:56, 12 December 2015 (UTC)
