[edit]Help:Cite errors/Cite error included ref (2)
[edit]For the Buck Owens page, Death section, I add this: The date of Buck Owens' death, March 25, 2006, was precisely 40 years after the date of his Carnegie Hall Concert, arguably the most important appearance of his career.
I attended the Carnegie Hall concert.
I don't know anything about opening and closing symbols. I just wrote the sentence. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.86.113.182 (talk) 00:09, 5 April 2015 (UTC)
- @66.86.113.182: Your edit added the sentence, but it also added
<ref><ref></ref></ref>
elsewhere, causing the cite error. This type of error happens a lot. If you plan to edit Wikipedia much, I suggest learning to use the page history, a very useful tool for understanding what you and others have done to the article. I have removed the stray markup and eliminated the error message. ―Mandruss ☎ 00:24, 5 April 2015 (UTC) - Your sentence has now been removed by another editor on neutrality grounds. ―Mandruss ☎ 00:46, 5 April 2015 (UTC)
Discussing religion/myth from an in-universe perspective
[edit]Is there an equivalent to {{In-universe}} for articles about religious or mythical figures or concepts written from a believer’s POV? (This is assuming it is not acceptable to state beliefs as fact.) —174.141.182.82 (talk) 04:53, 5 April 2015 (UTC)
- I looked and didn't find anything dedicated (no, it is not acceptable). Have you come across many places where it would be useful, supporting the effort of making a dedicated template? You could always just mock up one for a single use. There is {{fiction}} but I think it's use in religion articles would be inflammatory. Here: the language in this may not be quite right, but you might use something like:
This religion-related article describes the religion primarily from a believer's perspective. |

- Yeah, {{In-universe}} itself (or anything implying the subject is fictional) would be completely inappropriate and disrespectful. Your {{Ambox}} example seems good to me, so I’ll use that; thanks! —174.141.182.82 (talk) 08:24, 5 April 2015 (UTC)
- {{Religion primary}} and {{Religious text primary}} are related. PrimeHunter (talk) 13:32, 5 April 2015 (UTC)
- The former seems like what I was looking for, thanks. Should that be listed on WP:TC? Because it’s not. —174.141.182.82 (talk) 13:49, 5 April 2015 (UTC)

Article got blank after my edit
[edit]After the first time I saved an edit German_Evangelical_Church_in_Bohemia,_Moravia_and_Silesia, it went well. With the second edit and the second save the page suddenly got blank. The error message said that the page was probably deleted before and that the link history wasn't updated. Pretty strange that I could previously still edit it then. I hope I've done nothing wrong. Marcocapelle (talk) 13:23, 5 April 2015 (UTC)
- It's the bug at Wikipedia:Village pump (technical)/Archive 135#Weird deletion display error. You did nothing wrong. I have fixed the page display by purging the page. PrimeHunter (talk) 13:37, 5 April 2015 (UTC)
- Same thing happened now with Category:History_of_Czechoslovakia. Marcocapelle (talk) 16:59, 5 April 2015 (UTC)
- Just opening in edit mode and saving again did the job. No need for further assistance. Marcocapelle (talk) 18:11, 5 April 2015 (UTC)
New section
[edit]Hello, being his grand grand son, I would like to add Paul Lebrun photograph to illustrate the article. I do not understand how to proceed on the"edit page" of Paul Lebrun article. Many thanks
Didier Lebrun — Preceding unsigned comment added by Didier Le Brun (talk • contribs) 17:02, 5 April 2015 (UTC)
- If you have a photograph of him, in which you own the copyright or the copyright has expired, your first step should be to upload it to Wikimedia Commons, so that it can be used here on English-language Wikipedia, and on Dutch Wikipedia, which also has an article on him, and on French, German, etc., Wikipedias should they ever create articles on him. Page has disappeared (nearly)
[edit]— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 21:55, 8 April 2015 (UTC)
Can anyone explain what has happened here? (Look at how the article appears at the bottom). PaleCloudedWhite (talk) 22:24, 5 April 2015 (UTC)
I've just read the thread above ('Article got blank after my edit'), so I have fixed the problem by going into editing mode and saving the page again. PaleCloudedWhite (talk) 22:27, 5 April 2015 (UTC)
