If you can't find a page for the surname then I suggest you make one. After you create an account, go to your "sandbox" from the user menu, and create a list of people who share that surname with the various spellings. Include only people who have their own Wikipedia pages. See Shahid (name) and Ze'ev for examples. If you can't think of much to write about the name you might like to make it a WP: disambiguation page and add the template {{disambiguation}} like Izz al-Din (disambiguation), that doesn't require any references as long as the people on the list all clearly have the same name, it would be good to have just one line at the top giving the spelling in Arabic, and saying that it is a surname. Even if you draft is rejected the edits you make when creating it still count as practice and your account will be allowed to create redirects. Redirects fun the surname to him will probably get deleted, but redirects from his full name will probably be kept.
