Hold On I'm Comin' (song)

[edit]

Re title - see http://www.45cat.com/record/s189us. Ghmyrtle (talk) 08:52, 29 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

See http://repertoire.bmi.com/title.asp?blnWriter=True&blnPublisher=True&blnArtist=True&keyID=574971&ShowNbr=0&ShowSeqNbr=0&querytype=WorkID and http://radziwill.us/samanddast70.html Zzyzx (talk) 09:20, 29 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
So the BMI "official title" has no comma, and a "g" at the end.....  !! May be best if all the permutations are set out in a footnote, perhaps? Ghmyrtle (talk) 10:29, 29 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
BMI doesn't include punctuation (http://repertoire.bmi.com/title.asp?blnWriter=True&blnPublisher=True&blnArtist=True&keyID=327895&ShowNbr=0&ShowSeqNbr=0&querytype=WorkID for Don't Stop Believin' and http://repertoire.bmi.com/title.asp?blnWriter=True&blnPublisher=True&blnArtist=True&page=1&keyid=1513006&ShowNbr=0&ShowSeqNbr=0&querytype=WorkID for Tighter, Tighter). It's worth noting that the version without the G is listed in the alternate spellings. There's some mention about the spelling at the beginning of the article, but I was just trying to figure out what name to put the article under. It seemed like since the album name is "Hold On, I'm Comin'" and on that listing, the song title is given as "Hold On, I'm Comin'" and it's listed as an alternate in BMI, that it might be as close as we can get to the most "common" spelling.
