Summary

[edit]

When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labelled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

When you leave the edit summary blank, some of your edits could be mistaken for vandalism and may be reverted, so please always briefly summarize your edits, especially when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you. JoaoRicardotalk 00:34, 25 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Lovcenac

[edit]

Hi - Thanks for adding the link to the news article - it's not often that Lovcenac is in the news. Could you just add a little bit in English as to what it's about - from what I understand it's about an ethnic Montenegrin women from Lovcenac, but my (let's call it) Yugoslavian's pretty limited. Also, do you know anything about the Montegrins' desire to build a Montenegrin Orthodox Church? See [1]. Thanks Adam Mathias 04:51, 5 February 2006 (UTC) No Comment!!!Boris from Lovcenac.[reply]

Request for edit summary

[edit]

Hi. I am a bot, and I am writing to you with a request. I would like to ask you, if possible, to use edit summaries a bit more often when you contribute. The reason an edit summary is important is because it allows your fellow contributors to understand what you changed; you can think of it as the "Subject:" line in an email. For your information, your current edit summary usage is 8% for major edits and 58% for minor edits. (Based on the last 150 major and 12 minor edits outside the Wikipedia, User, Image, and all Talk namespaces.)

This is just a suggestion, and I hope that I did not appear inpolite. You do not need to reply to this message, but if you would like to give me feedback, you can do so at the feedback page. Thank you, and happy edits, Mathbot 03:35, 16 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Categorization

[edit]

Hi Zvonko, I noticed you added Category:Serbian writers to Aleksa Šantić, who was already categorized into Category:Serbian poets. Please see WP:Categorization#Guidelines, esp. no. 3. In other words, don't duplicate categorization in both a category and a subcategory. When in doubt, place the entry in a "higher-level" category, but don't duplicate. Since Šantić was primarily a poet, he should go only to "poets" category.

Now, I admit the Category:Serbian writers is in disorder, but please don't add to the confusion :-). Also, as above, please use some more edit summaries – a mere "cat" would have pointed me that you changed a category rather than external links as indicated. See Wikipedia:Edit summary legend.

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Nsa convention img 9201.jpg)

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Nsa convention img 9201.jpg. I assume this image could be used under a fair use license. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If your image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why your image was deleted. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Dethomas 22:58, 25 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading [[== Unblock review ==

Hello. I have looked over the block and determined that it was fair and called for. Bishonen is not one to throw around blocks for personal attack without reason. That whole discussion was full of snarky nasty remarks.

Before I am willing to reverse this block I need to be convince that you understand this was inappropriate and agree to act in a more civil fashion in the future I am willing the reverse this block. Your unblock request and conversation after show a lack of this understanding.

Regardless of if the block is reversed or not future incidences like this can lead to longer blocks. Chillum 05:20, 21 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Image:039100717.jpg]]. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. Please do not use {test} templates in cases like this where what the user is doing is clearly not Vandalism. While Afrika paprika is being disruptive and most likely violating policy, using a template like that does nothing to help the situation. The user is clearly not vandalising the article per the definition of vandalism, and should not be treated as a new user trying out editing in an improper way when it is rather obvious that he is trying to promote a particular POV. Please take the time to write a real warning, which takes into account the situation. --Philosophus T 11:03, 28 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image:State-of-EXIT1.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:State-of-EXIT1.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Chowbok 22:51, 10 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I'm listening.

As far as #1 of WP:FUC goes, I don't think a "free equivalent is available or could be created that would adequately give the same information" in the sense that I didn't see one or don't have one at my disposal.

"I didn't see one or don't have one at my disposal".. this never implies that one couldn't be created. --Abu Badali 15:07, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

As for WP:FU#Counterexamples, it is fairly obvious that the purpose of putting this image isn't merely showing "what this person looks like". The entire turbofolk genre has a very pronounced visual component and this image showing the early look of turbofolk adds a lot to the quality and comprehension of the entire article.Zvonko 04:08, 25 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This makes sense. This image seems ok to be used in the Turbo-folk article, but not in Ceca. --Abu Badali 15:07, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Source

[edit]

So, what should be placed as a source? And while, you're at it why were the other two images taken down in the middle of discussion? The source info may have been removed in the fair use discussion but there was no warning message or anything. Seeing that the source for this image has been listed by you as "missing", am I going to find it suddenly taken down too. Zvonko 01:30, 28 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

As I explained in the edit summary, use the newspaper name and publication date. But if the newspaper is not this image's copyright holder, it must contain information on who is. But in this case, the tag is wrong and must be changed. --Abu Badali 01:53, 28 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Aug29 2004.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Aug29 2004.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. Thank you. I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Kodeksi, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at its talk page. Removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, but the article may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. thadius856talk|airports|neutrality 04:08, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

About Otpor, and the country's involvement

[edit]

I know what you're saying, and you're not wrong. Montenegro under the DPS was not very active in the FR Yugoslavia; they were concentrating on building their own walls and finding their way alone. The actions were within Serbia and remain a Serbian phenomenon. The problem is that ever since the creating of the FRY, the national name of the country until its final day in SCG was Serbia half the time and the national name for the other half. When I attended the Anti-NATO protest in March 1999 in London, the thousands of locals were chanting "Sr-bi-ja...Sr-bi-ja", then a few minutes later; you'd hear "Ju - Go - Slavija, Ju - Go - Slavija". Clearly people were confused and could not distinguish that the two entities were in direct conflict with each other, where-by at a national level, you can be one, or the other. Be that as it may, that's how it was. Now my purpose for adding terms such as "the federation", "Yugoslav", "the national" etc. on this page as with all others: the basis for the popular dissidency was dissatisfaction with administration from the highest level. Millions felt that the key to a good future is a good relationship with the western states, and only the central government stood between the citizens and the rest of the western world. And ultimately, it was the Yugoslav presidency which was ousted, and legally, it did have powers over Montenegro, and Montenegrins in turn were elligible to contribute to running the republic whether these privileges were taken or not. I think it would be a good idea if one of us revise the page from top to bottom and restore Serbia in about half of the slots (in a way that people know); or introduce a new section explaining what we both know (this as I have written it). I just feel that to continue using "Serb, Serb, Serb" is sloppy and unofficial. Do you see what I'm suggesting? Evlekis 07:54, 11 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Božidar (Boki) Milošević

[edit]

Zvonko, I think that we should use full names of the persons we are writing about. For example, Milenko Stefanović, also a clarinetist, is better known as Mima Stefanović; however, article about him has been entitled Milenko Stefanović. I suggest to give this article its previous name - Božidar Milošević. --Andrija 13:21, 15 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:Natasamicic1.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Natasamicic1.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 11:03, 24 April 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fritz S. (Talk) 11:03, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:BrankaGlasovic07 BK.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:BrankaGlasovic07 BK.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2007, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Non-free images being disputed by User:BetacommandBot

[edit]

Hello! I noticed that BetacommandBot had been heavily spamming your page with notices, and decided to start writing a script to allow me to quickly (but manually) consolidate the notifications into a single section, and am testing it on your user page, as it has been one of the hardest hit. The following note by BetacommandBot (I apologize for its accusatory tone) applies to each of these images:

Thanks for uploading (image name). However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Iggy00ve.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 7 days after this notification, per our Fair Use policy. Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Stadion CrvenaZvezda.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. Thanks for uploading Image:SDPlogo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Foreigners in Ukraine

[edit]

In your recent edit on list of foriegn footballers in Ukraine, you merged Kosovars and Albanians together. I don't support Kosovo's independence but put them separate since some users changed the flag icons to Kosovo and those players were born in Serbia. Why don't you want them in a separate category, since those Albanians are trying to call themselves Kosovars? (I don't think it is acknowledging the Kosovan independence but is just showing that those players are rebels that support Kosovan independence, what do you think?) --Shustfan (talk) 20:10, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"Rok mašina" & "Kraljevski apartman"

[edit]

Zdravo, Zvonko!

Primetio sam da si imena članaka "Rok Mašina" i "Kraljevski Apartman" promenio u "Rok mašina" i "Kraljevski apartman".

thumb|

Pozdrav! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ostalocutanje (talkcontribs) 09:13, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

FRY in Eurovision SC

[edit]

The election was held as if it was the SFRY that would be represented. Preformers from Slovenia, Croatia and Macedonia had cancelled their appearances but preformers from Bosnia and Herzegovina have not cancelled. In that time 1992 Bosnia and Herzegovina considered it a part of SFRY and I think even had the orriginal name Socialist Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina (like SR Montenegro until 1993).

So the representative has been elected under the red star and competed in the main ESC 1992 without the red star. This means a fact which should be represented in Wikipedia. Yugoslavia despit sanctions competed but this was a preformance for the old SFRY.

PFRY and SFRY are one the same but SFRY/FRY in 1992 is not the FRY after 2000 which stopped claiming that it was the sole successor of SFRY. Before 2000 FRY claimed just that the complete successor for SFRY.

Stop your revertments. Please.

Imbris (talk) 21:54, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Stop your futile attempts of trying to wash away the past of FRY. FRY participated in ESC 1992 with a song that was elected to represent a part of SFRY (B & H, Montenegro, Serbia). Croatia, Macedonia and Slovenia opted not to vote nor to send their representatives to Belgrade. The sittuation around FRY should be separated from the SFRY and also separated from the SCG. -- Imbris (talk) 21:56, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yugoslavian names at birth

[edit]

Hi! Sorry to disturb you, I've got a question for you: people born in SFR Yugoslavia's Republics (SR Slovenia, SR Macedonia...I think you were born in the SR Bosnia and Herzegovina) had their names in their ID in original (slovene, macedonian cyrillic, bosnian...) script or in the Serbian one? For example: Josip Katalinski was born as Josip Katalinski (and in the ID or at the register office is written Josip Katalinski), or was he born Јосип Каталински (so the transliteration "Josip Katalinski" is a later adaptation)? Thank you! --necronudist (talk) 18:31, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ahahah, thank you really much! So: people born in Macedonia were registered in Macedonian Cyrillic, the others... randomly. Maybe Latin, maybe Cyrillic. You say you are referred in Latin in certain documents, and in Cyrillic in others. Is the same for people born in post-Yugoslavia countries? If you were born in today Croatia would you have been referred also in Cyrillic in certain documents? I mean: you're known in Cyrillic in certain documents 'cause at the time Serbian Cyrillic was official language through the Kingdom. So it's correct to refer people born in Yugoslavia mainly with Serbian Cyrillic... am I right? --necronudist (talk) 20:12, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Don't be sorry Zvonko! We all have our tasks to do! Thank you for your amazing explanations... I asked you about this issue 'cause I was interested time ago in Soviet Union players, and I was wondering if they were born in their original "birth nations" scripts or in the Russian one. A Belarusian person told me that in Soviet Union IDs there was a row with the name in Russian, a line below, and the name in native script. So he had his name on the ID both in Russian Cyrillic and Belarusian Cyrillic. The Yugoslavian way is different: only one script is used, and it can be different from case to case. Now, a little recap:
  • Bosnians: both Serbian Latin and Serbian Cyrillic were official scripts. (I think) higher probability of being registered in Serbian Cyrillic script.
  • Croats: both Serbian Latin and Serbian Cyrillic were official scripts. Higher probability of being registered in Serbian Latin script.
  • Macedonians: Macedonian (Cyrillic script) was the official language. People registered in Macedonian Cyrillic.
  • Montenegrins: both Serbian Latin and Serbian Cyrillic were official scripts. (I think) higher probability of being registered in Serbian Cyrillic script.
  • Serbians: both Serbian Latin and Serbian Cyrillic were official scripts. Higher probability of being registered in Serbian Cyrillic script.
  • Slovenes: Slovene (Latin script) was the official language. People registered in Slovenian Latin.
Is this recap right?
Sorry Zvonko if I torment you :-) but, what about Kosovo and Vojvodina Autonomous Provinces? I'm being really interested in this issue...your explanations are really really really interesting! I'm learning a lot and I will never thank you enough! --necronudist (talk) 13:42, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi Zvonko! I have also read your explanations about the Macedonian names - very interesting! So please allow me to ask you also for some help? Thanks for uploading Image:Milo prez kampanja 1997.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

⚠

Thanks for uploading Image:Nele03.jpg. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Speedy deletion of Emotion Production

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Emotion Production requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Mifter (talk) 15:26, 4 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of List of Serbian Superliga 2008–09 scorers

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article List of Serbian Superliga 2008–09 scorers, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Long and sprawling list of statistics per WP:NOT#STATS, which already exists in suitable way at Serbian Superliga 2008–09

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Nele03.jpg.

If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Aspects (talk) 19:03, 5 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Ratko Knežević requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you.  Merlion  444  05:39, 30 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Greece-Germanypicture1291pw.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. FASTILYsock (TALK) 04:56, 1 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

Hello Zvonko! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 6 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 3 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:JovanaJankovic07 RTS.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:JovanaJankovic07 RTS.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. The article Oralno doba has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

non-notable

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Redirects

[edit]

Hi there ZVONKO, VASCO here,

As you did in Tomislav Ivković and many MANY other players, please stop changing - incorrectly - the name of the country to "Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia", it is not the name of the WP article, and so creates a redirect.

Please respect other people's work, so the same can be done to yours. Attentively, from Portugal - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 00:35, 1 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File:Bloko leto.JPG missing description details

[edit]
Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as File:Bloko leto.JPG is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors to make better use of the image, and it will be more informative for readers.

If the information is not provided, the image may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.

If you have any questions please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 16:08, 10 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Logo fortitudo.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Logo fortitudo.jpg. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

The article Goran Vejvoda has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not seem to pass WP:COMPOSER. Seems to only get incidental mention in articles about Enki Bilal or Angelin Preljocaj

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi Zvonko, thanks for fixing the Večiti derbi section in that article. Some time ago I found that article having only the basic info included and the second paragraph, so I added the text found in the first paragraph. I did it in a rush and afterwords I forgot about it. Many articles related to football in Serbia need expansion from the historical perspective as many concentrate only in recent events, so all help is welcome. When I said mess I had meant the 17 or so edits before yours. You had added onto a mess of a page and the only way to correct it was to revert back to a non-messy version. Yours just got caught in the fixup. Sorry about that. Fyunck(click) (talk) 07:58, 6 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Tomislav Karadžić requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Oddbodz (talk) 18:30, 6 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Tomislav Karadžić has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Please do not make statements attacking people or groups of people. Wikipedia has a strict policy against personal attacks. You can't just say that someone is "thuggish" or "surly". There's no way to justify that in terms of WP:NPOV. Stick to the facts, and let readers judge for themselves. (Though if you're going to list various incidents, every sentence needs to be clearly sourced. See WP:BLP.) Zagalejo^^^ 07:00, 9 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Is Blic even a reliable source? The article on the paper mentions a couple of accusations of libel. I'm sorry if I'm annoying you with this, but we have to be very, very strict about any negative information about living people. Zagalejo^^^ 07:13, 9 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
FYI, I started a discussion here: Wikipedia:Reliable_sources/Noticeboard#Blic. Some of the content you added might be salvageable - it's clear that he was punished for his altercation with the ref - but I want to make sure that we are totally accurate and neutral. Just bear with me. Zagalejo^^^ 07:22, 9 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I do think the incident with the referee is worth mentioning, since a two-year suspension is a pretty big deal - even if the punishment was eventually modified. I added a little bit about it in the "Administrative career" section, using a different source. Zagalejo^^^ 03:04, 14 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Milorad Mažić shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. --VeryCrocker (talk) 09:25, 23 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

July 2014

[edit]

Hi, Zvonko. I was very struck by your insults and bad-faith assumptions against User:Joy in this ANI thread, which I have just read. You have been editing the encyclopedia since 2005, and so have no possible excuse for not being aware that such toxic attacks on fellow editors are not allowed here. I have blocked you for 48 hours for egregious personal attacks. Your block log was previously clean, or I'd have made the block longer. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Bishonen | talk 13:34, 20 July 2014 (UTC).[reply]

  • No need to call on me: that I didn't see them doesn't mean they weren't there. It is entirely possible that Bishonen is a much better reader of passive-aggressiveness or bad-faith assumptions than I am: I have faith in her judgment. Drmies (talk) 17:35, 20 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • The reviewing admin should feel free to unblock without consulting me, if they want to. I thought the sneering way you attacked the person and their integrity and good faith was beyond the pale. That said, I agree Joy was unwise to challenge your Oppose, and to continue to reply to you. I just don't think it's any excuse. It appears however that User:Drmies is of a different opinion; perhaps he'd like to comment here. (Adding after edit conflict: ah, I see he already did. Well, all three of us had better wait for an uninvolved admin to review your unblock request, then.)
I thought at first it might help the reviewing admin if I added a few quotes from your input in that thread to point up what I mean, but probably not, as they will in any case have to form their own opinion of the thread, and context matters. It's not that long of a thread, anyway (only the subthread, that I link to above, is relevant).
Incidentally, no, the block had nothing to do with Joy's post on Drmies page. I do watch Drmies' page, and seeing Antidiskriminator's rather surprising post on it turn up on my watchlist, I went to read the long ANI thread. It took a while, and it convinced me that you had passed the limits of decency. I only saw Joy's post on my watchlist when I had already typed my block notice. The timing is a false friend; I'd been away from the computer for a while, as one is. Bishonen | talk 17:57, 20 July 2014 (UTC).[reply]
Alright, I appreciate you refraining from swaying the reviewing admin's mind further with your specific quote-based thoughts and analysis. Once the decision has been made, if you don't mind, I will request your personal input on what specifically made you have such a strong reaction to what I wrote to Joy and how you think a situation like this one should be handled in the future.Zvonko (talk) 21:53, 20 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • I should have read all of this lengthy unblock request--like, where it says "his vindictiveness, fragile ego, and litigious nature....his baseless accusations and harassment". That should be enough for any admin to turn this down. Drmies (talk) 19:26, 20 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
So, you first make a claim on your talk page that I wasn't uncivil on the ANI thread, but then you support my block for being uncivil, something you didn't think I was, on the grounds that you're no good at reading and judging this kinda thing anyway and that you defer to the judgement of a person who did think I was uncivil.
Then hour and half later, you (hour and a half before that self-admittedly not that good at "reading passive-aggressiveness or bad-faith") suddenly feel comfortable making a suggestion to the reviewing admin that it's essentially OK to turn down my unblock request without bothering to read more than one sentence.
May I ask how do you imagine me getting a fair hearing by an untainted set of admin eyes now that you (another admin) suggested that several words "should be enough for any admin to turn down this request"? Context, order of cause and consequence, who initiated this, the validity of initial accusations... I guess none of that plays a role.Zvonko (talk) 21:38, 20 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Unblock review

[edit]

Hello. I have looked over the block and determined that it was fair and called for. Bishonen is not one to throw around blocks for personal attack without reason. That whole discussion was full of snarky nasty remarks.

Before I am willing to reverse this block I need to be convinced that you understand this was inappropriate and agree to act in a more civil fashion in the future. Your unblock request and conversation after show a lack of this understanding.

Regardless of if the block is reversed or not future incidences like this can lead to longer blocks. Chillum 05:20, 21 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the review. I understand I used tone and level of sarcasm deemed inappropriate on Wiki and agree to keep that in mind going forward as I have during the previous almost a decade without any similar past issues. I let the emotions of anger get the better of me this time while defending from a false accusation and while I consciously took care to curtail my anger by avoiding profanity it definitely seems like I wasn't as receptive to the overall unpleasant tone.Zvonko (talk) 07:29, 21 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who accepted the request.

Zvonko (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

Not sure whether Bishonen's decision to block me has anything to do with this post User:Joy left on User:Drmies' talk page (the timing would suggest so), but I'm appalled by this action, or rather its limit to me alone. Every individual has his/her criteria (cultural, gender, and upbringing related) when it comes to what they find uncivil in terms of the tone and manner of communication, but if Bishonen was, as he/she says, "struck" by my conduct on that thread and found me to be "toxic" and "egregious" then how Joy can escape censure is beyond me and really leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I've been on Wiki 10 years now and have always tried to be constructive. I remind you that Joy is the one who initiated this back-and-forth on that ANI thread after I placed my vote. He did so by lobbing a baseless accusation my way of supposed bad 'behaviour' on another talk page. Perhaps I made an error in judgement by even engaging him in a discussion, seeing that he was clearly baiting me, though my initial response to his harassment was extremely calm. He didn't let up and it was only after he expanded on his initial harassment that I explained to him in detail why his charges were baseless and I also brought up his conduct on Talk:Dado Pršo where he ignored references. His response to this was to basically dismiss it as "being 8 years old", suggesting some kind of axe-grinding exercise in all of this. He then even went to the Dado Pršo page itself, deleting content for which references clearly existed all along on the article's talk page (and Joy was aware of them at some point in the past). I do not think much of Joy's admin conduct. I come across his edits from time to time on different Balkans-related topics, but always avoid engaging with him as his vindictiveness, fragile ego, and litigious nature do not allow for much productive to occur. However, this time I had to respond to his baseless accusations and harassment, especially in light of his conduct on Dado Prso that I became aware of recently. In closing, yes our back-and-forth that he initiated was warm-blooded, but I don't think it crossed over into uncivil territory and I see that User:Drmies, the closing admin of that ANI thread, agreed with that assessment. Zvonko (talk) 17:01, 20 July 2014 (UTC)

Accept reason:

I have unblocked you on your word, and based on the permission of the blocking admin. I see that you have a very long history of good editing and that was your first block. I hope this remains an isolated incident and you continue the good work you do here. Chillum 07:44, 21 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You wrote comprehensive, intelligent and common sense comments on The Presumption of Justice talk page regarding the threats controversy. Very nicely written, my respect. However, when it comes to Pincrete, it seems to me that he fits the description of a Wikipedia troll. He either speaks one of the Yugoslav languages and is pretending to be Enlgish to hide his bias when editing Balkans-related topics, or speaks none of these languages and is using Google Translate to troll Balkans-related pages on Wikipedia. Either case, it really is a pain editing Malagurski-related articles since Pincrete apparently has some kind of beef with Malagurski and his work and is here with an agenda - his goal is not to make these articles more informative and neutral, but to present Malagurski and his work in the worst possible way. If you have any helpful advice regarding the issue, that would be great. Happy editing, --UrbanVillager (talk) 19:05, 1 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:RTV Pink television programmes requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Novak Djokovic, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Danas (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 08:31, 24 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
