Got it. I'll let you know when I find some sources then you can publish it as I don't know how to publish a page. ZlatanSweden10 (talk) 22:22, 24 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Deutschlandtakt moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Deutschlandtakt. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and it is a poor translation. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Colors for the conference labels in the "Teams" table

[edit]

@ZlatanSweden10, regarding the discussion about the background colors for the conference labels in the "Teams" tables, I'm not in favor of dropping them altogether, as I believe color coding makes the tables easier to understand. You had suggested adding a small color strip. Instead of a strip, would it be possible to add a border around each conference/division to match the color coding of the map? For example, MLS has two conferences (no divisions), so only pink and light blue would be used. NHL has four divisions (shown in yellow, pink, purple, and green on the map), MLB has six, NFL has eight, and so on. That way, there would be a visual correlation between the table and the map. This can be done in the sandbox for each league and then ask for consensus before implementing permanently. Assadzadeh (talk) 21:23, 5 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I agree! I think the colour strip is the best way to go. As to how to add them I think I know how to as I've done it for political party page tables in the past (such as for here: Multi-Party Charter#Main parties). But I think it is a slightly different process. Regardless I think getting some more opinions (who should agree with us) would be a good thing (I'm willing to bet there are pros who know how to edit tables better than me). I think you've done a great job with the political parties pages. It's similar to List of presidents of the United States.
Do you know of a general group covering all the major sports leagues that this question can be posted to? In the meantime, I would suggest removing the background colors per MOS:COLORCODING as they are too glaring and don't necessarily match the maps. Would you have an issue with this?
